Something port beggars haven't understood from day one. Most big games miss the Switch for a reason, and that's the fact that the Switch is simply not a powerful console.

Probably don't expect too much of remasters of two generation old games. Remasters were already only pursued for their low effort to high return ways, and since last gen only really brought more power and not too much else, it was a straightforward process.

Consoles now have a lot of cool features that these games just weren't made with, and are so old it's questionable if the investment is really worth some minor conveniences and shiny things for working in mor...

That tweet had layers to it. It was easy to pick out pretty unmistakable references to at least Demon's Souls and LoD. I imagine Bluepoint has expanded enough that they aren't restricted to just one project at a time too, so there's still a chance LoD is in the pipeline, however slim that chance may be, likely having started during the Demon's Souls development.

Highlighting why scores are by and large worthless, honestly. No open world game is nearly perfect, and Breath of the Wild is further from perfect than most. I say that as someone that played the game beyond the necessary point for completion, looking for what was supposed to be great, while only finding average.

If they're smart, Destiny 2 will be the last Destiny for at least another five years. MMOs can't just release like every other series, which is precisely what Activision didn't understand since to them it was just another CoD to be bled dry.

You do realize that the vast majority of Xbox One owners don't own an X, right? Why would they explicitly comment on the performance of the X over the more standard Xbox One models?

Yeah, getting a console is going to be a crapshoot until supply matches demand better. As of now, it's just every console launch ever where numbers are limited and half the available units just go to people trying to make a profit.

It's adorable when people seem to think video games work like real life. It would 100% be possible for visibility to operate substantially differently for two players standing 10 feet apart from each other anywhere on the map. Sometimes it comes down to latency, other times it just comes down to woefully awful coding.

Yep. They're trying hard to eliminate the secondhand market next gen and aren't being all that sneaky about it. At a $100 difference, only those truly dedicated to physical will even consider the disc drive version.

This game is so poorly optimized on everything. They should be using the power to simply overpower some of the bad optimization, but instead they'll just keep on trucking with generally sub-par performance across the board.

No. This is like a Takeshi's Castle/Wipeout style gameshow. You go through racing rounds, elimination rounds, team games, and ultimately if you make it far enough, a finale to try to get the full win. It can be anywhere between three and five rounds from my experience, and it tends to largely feel fair, though people can use the grab mechanic to be a bit toxic.

Amazing what Fortnite cash and Chinese investment does for your bottom line. But sure, let's assume it's all EGS even though they have to be losing money with the constant free games.

No way is it only 100GB except if maybe you only have Warzone. Might want to double check you're reading that number correctly or that you actually have the full game. Or that you aren't rounding down insanely from 185GB or something.

RE1 had a distinct lack of credit for character voice work, so out of interest, the RE fan community has been putting forth effort to figure out who the original voice actors were to both interview them and simply give them the credit they deserve for being a memorable part of the beginning of one of the most well known third party franchises today.

Lagging behind *this Fall*. In case you haven't noticed, there isn't much announced for the last third of the year right now to make Switch owners excited, myself included. Meanwhile we have new console launches and major third party releases that all don't involve the Switch.

BotW 2 also won't be a solution. Absolutely no way that game is arriving in 2020.

Definitely this. Seemed really weird to me that they weren't releasing any kind of update whatsoever for PS4 and Steam at least some months after the Switch edition launched.

If you're talking about the Mario & Luigi series, the studio that handled those went under. Unless Nintendo takes on the series themselves, it's dead.

I mean, this is why Steam has built multiple systems that will recommend games to you based on what friends are playing, what you've played, and otherwise.

New games from small and/or unknown developers have always struggled, and there ultimately isn't really a good solution beyond trying to recommend relevant games to potentially interested people.

It's honestly getting tiring that Nintendo insists on not making the game their consumer base wants. And I mean, I get it. Just catering to what consumers want would lead to stagnation of the video game industry. That said, that's why new IPs happen, or why side games happen that can go on to be their own series (like the Persona split from Shin Megami Tensei). Just ending the style of game design that made a series beloved is nothing but a betrayal.

One of these da...
