I wrote this comment yesterday but I want to see if people even partially agree with me:
From what I've played, Insomniac really nailed the feel and look of the swinging. The story, cutscenes, combat, graphics, Easter eggs and added traversal options like point launches, zipping over the tops of buildings, ground strikes, etc are fantastic.

It's not great. I played it for a bit on a free trial of PS Now and I really wasn't impressed. It doesn't know if it wants to be realistic or arcadey and the structure of the open world is very boring. It's worth tinkering around with for a few hours I suppose. The trick system is very basic compared to the vastly superior SSX games.
Feel free to disagree with me, lads, but at least tell me why I'm wrong. I'm not a "troll". Everyone knows I'm a PlayStation guy. I played the game for a few hours (I believe that I've unlocked all of the webslinging abiities in the skill tree like the charge jump) and this is my opinion so far.

I do think that there is still a lot of room for improvement for the webslinging and there are some repetitive open world activities though (crime system).
They got the fundamentals down but there are ...
If you get the deluxe version with all of the DLC, that would be the "complete" edition. Not sure what region you're in but it's on sales in Europe.
It was extremely effective in Metal Gear Solid. It's aged way better than most 3D PS1 games as a result. I recommended this game to a friend and my brother (got a free PSTV and lent it to them) and they both said that it was suprisingly good for a PS1 game and gave it an 8.5. When I was a kid, I remember thinking the MGS felt way better than the Tomb Raider games and the fixed camera angle definitely played a big part in that.

"No they didn't say such a thing at all. Stop making things up."
What? I'm talking about the topic of the article. What did I make up? Everyone was excited before launch that the DLC was all going to be free. That's just a fact. It seemed that EA was being pro-consumer. Then the game was a disaster. The leaked PS4 player stats show that less than half the amount of players played the game as a result. Again, what did I make up?
Blacklist was pretty good. Conviction was kinda meh though.
They are less risky but I'm not sure about them being cheaper or faster to make. I agree that AAA publishers need to make more single-player games though. Another issue for publishers is that single-player gamers have higher standards. For me, AC: Odyssey's gameplay-affecting micro-transactions are bullshit so I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
Hopefully not. It makes sense for TR and God Of War but not Splinter Cell. The Splinter Cell games take place in multiple locations around the world. You couldn't really cramp all of that into a single map without compromising the game's quality.
Not sure I agree. Considering the Wildlands cameo, I'd bet that Sam is coming back along with Michael Ironside. I believe he was sick during Blacklist's production.
We'll see. They said the same thing before Star Wars Battlefront 2. God help us all.
While Ubisoft do have a more diverse portfolio and make more single-player games and new IP, their recent stance on micro-transactions (including micro-transactions that affect gameplay which especially messed with The Crew 2's progression system) has been abysmal.
If even EA are only integrating cosmetic micro-transactions into their games (well, their non-sports games) and are even going to deliver all DLC for free, you know that Ubisoft have messed up.
Highly debatable indeed. I haven't played Borderlands 2 VR but I kind of doubt that it's better than God Of War. Still, most GOTY lists look very similar this year so it's nice to see a different take and for more games to get acknowledgement.
Only 3 of these games are Switch games. Jesus
"I find it funny that you list a bunch of games for PS4 that are both exclusives, 1st party, and also 3rd party titles." Don't be desperate.
I listed notable Wii U releases to further highlight that the Switch has had a weak second year. I looked back at the Wii U's 2014 releases and most of the third party Wii U games were games like The Lego Movie Videogame, Just Dance and Sonic Boom besides a late port (6 months late) of Watch Dogs. As we all know, ther...
They really didn't. After a great first year, as far as second years for a console go, it was easily the weakest of the last 20 years. Just look at the second year of the PS4.
The Witcher 3
Rocket League
Bloodborne
Until Dawn
Metal Gear Solid 5
Batman: Arkham Knight
Rainbow Six: Siege
Fallout 4
Hotline Miami 2

Mortal Kombat X

The man, the myth, the legend. You know, Cory Batlog originally wanted to do the one-shot camera for Tomb Raider but they shot it down. He directed the cinematics for the Tomb Raider 2013 which explains why they're so better than Rise Of The Tomb Raider. Crystal Dynamics don't seem to take storytelling or creativety seriously. Sony does. No wonder they said that The Last Of Us 2's demo was fake.

I agree but Capcom fighting games are definitely an exception with content being locked on-disc for Street Fighter X Tekken, for example. SC6's Tira (Namco) was also playable in a beta before the game came out but needed to be purchased at launch.
I forgot to put that in my list. There's either an impulse force that pushes you up or your web is shortening. Not sure which one but it happens once you start swinging near the ground which can sometimes look a bit odd if you swing out of a dive bomb. It's completely impossible to swing into traffic unless you let go of your web.
The game tries a bit too hard to mitigate failure. Failure is good. It's the best teacher and your highs don't mean as much with...
