There's no difference between not buying it and buying a used copy. That other person is going to buy it regardless, so that's one new sale whether you end up with it or not. If he doesn't buy it, then that copy will just sit on the shelf, having already made Activision some money.

This thread reminds me of the directv commercial, with its million-eighty P.

"Oops, looks like someone just leveled the playing field."

You Brits are just jealous because we have the money and good food to actually get fat. ;) lol

Probably not as many as we'd like to think. Pretty much everyone is going to be as cheap as they possibly can. If you lower your price to 50, people will still want it for 45. Lower it to 40, people will still want it for 35.

Just today I was trying to sell a guy a shower door at work. He ended up wanting the cheapest one we sell, and then proceeded to hound the crap out of me about getting a discount just because. I finally told him to just put up a curtain, they're much cheape...

I'd rather the developers get the money than the rip-off that is Gamestop.

Had nothing to do with CGI, though. It lost so much money because it sucked.

Depends on HOW you want to play them. I don't imagine your four year old card will max out any new games. My 8800GT from two years ago is chugging on some now.

Most of you are not understanding part of the purpose of the game machines in a prison. It's not luxury or being humane... it's prisoner control. Prison is stressful, so anything to help relieve some of that stress goes a long way in helping to somewhat calm the population. Same thing with weight benches, books, basketball hoops, etc. Yeah, some people don't mind the isolation so much, but combine isolation with a lack of anything to occupy yourself with, and even calm people can become "...

Was this the title they meant when Sony said they were taking Rockstar "under their wings"?

I'm angry at Valve, but not about Left 4 Dead. I'm angry because they can get around to producing two zombie games in two years, but can't get around to making Episode 3 in the same time.

Depends on how you look at it. I can see them selling it and making some money off of it for many years. The PS2 is nine years old now and some people are still buying them.

I can see the PS3 selling for a long time. Will it be a major figure in the sales charts for ten years? No. But will it be on the market for ten years? Possibly.

Yeah, but much of that "crossing the plane of the Milky Way" isn't accurate. When looking at records, there does seem to be some general correlation between some mass extinctions and the solar system's orbit oscillations, but the doomsday date of 2012 isn't a time in which the solar system will be crossing it. That isn't due for many thousands of years.

However, the Sun, from our point of view, will be crossing the plane on that day. But this happens a couple times a ye...

It's relatively easy to have at least some idea of the consoles future hardware. Both Sony and MS will be talking to developers about their plans. Even when they don't have specific hardware specs, they will at least have a timeline, which will let them have an approximation just based off of what PC technology is around at the time.

For instance, look at the PS3 and 360. The RSX for the PS3 is basically a modified GeForce 7800, while the Xenos of the 360 is largely an R600 famil...

Amen. This 2012 nonsense is just retarded. Thinking the world will end because a Mayan calendar cycle ended is like thinking the earth's landscape will never change if Rand McNally goes out of business.

Yeah, the Terminator timeline is a big spider web now. Multiple timelines, multiple futures, etc. It's probably easier to ignore the story and watch stuff blow up.

Far Cry 2 did have respawning enemies to a certain degree. That checkpoint you cleared out and destroyed an hour ago? It has been fully rebuilt and remanned by the time you drive down the road, accept a mission, and drive back by.

Ldubbz get disagrees because he has Kobe as his avatar. Why does that deserve disagrees? Because the Lakers absolutely stole Game 1 from a Nugget team who outplayed them all night.

Nope, you're all wrong. If you look at the 9th bush back two thirds of the way over from the left, you'll see a tiny glint. That glint is the reflection of a scope. "Sniper scope?", you may ask. Yes, but no.

Now presenting, "Metal Gear: Buck Hunter." !!

Take-two paid them millions to actually make the game, yet there is nothing to show. It could easily be, "That a way to take their money and not do jack, 3D Realms."

Apogee Software, Ltd is 3D Realms' official name. The Apogee doing the handhelds is a separate entity, named Apogee Software, LLC. It's a spin-off of 3D Realms, but officially it's another company.
