The fact that people are even giving these "rumors" any weight shows just how easy it is to sway folks for the favorite company.

Here's the best part - such rumors have circulated before. Yet here's Polygon, once again, driving false hope. Ah well...

Xbox Gold doesn't have any pull and Plus isn't mandatory. So wrong on both fronts.

You're sorely mistaken if you think Microsoft has that kind of pull in this industry. They don't.

Nope.

Nothing wrong with May for Detroit. God of War III released in March 2010, Heavy Rain in February 2010 and the latter went on to sell at least 4m copies on PS4 (500K of which was Week 1).

God of War will have a month to itself. Plenty of time.

Exactly.

I'm not at a disadvantage, because unlike you, I have every system capable of playing these games. Pro/X/Gaming PC. As for "Xbox fans", again, unlike you, I don't label myself as "x fan". I game on all.

Perhaps if you weren't as close-minded and partisan as you are, you could see beyond the biased zits on your face.

Yes, on PC, the way it's meant to be played!

This isn't Ubisoft and 4A have been known to deliver the exact visuals they promise.

OT: Can't wait for this one! The first two are absolute gems and I expect nothing short of top-of-its-class visual splendor, especially on PC!

Just look at his attitude. "Are you sure about that". Got his panties in a twist over a simple question. The downvotes are justified, regardless of his "preference".

OT: Just pre-ordered the Collector's Edition! The Pro is now ready!

Yeah, you can usually tell when something big is about to drop. So, I won't even click the article, but was curious to see if others agreed with me that the notion is totally ridiculous. Glad that sanity prevails in these comments!

Every property doesn't have to "explode". They've released several successful new ones this gen, including Bloodborne, Horizon, and Until Dawn. Days Gone, Death Stranding, Detroit: Become Human, and Ghost of Tsushima all have the potential to join them. Now count that - that's far, far more new properties than Microsoft has released at all this gen - let alone successful ones.

As long as you cushion their complacency, you're part of the problem.

Of course they were wrong, but naysayers often are. Heavy Rain paved the way for so many other games that have released since! I never thought it would sell at least 5.3 million, though, so it's done fantastic!

Slightly old news - but yep! It was a beast!

This probably sounded better in your head.

I'm curious..... with what?

Considering your name is "Pantz", it's no wonder you would trust the Booty :P

OT: "Meme", Phil? Really? Legitimate concerns about the future of your brand shouldn't be piggybacked by a phrase born on the Internet. Put up or shut up! No nicer way of saying it! You promised new content years ago. Yes, PUBG was a good grab. Sure, BC has been your "big thing". But really, there's needs to be more, and as long as multiple competitors con...

You can be "a gamer at heart" (though this is a nonsense, pretentious label) and STILL disapprove of Microsoft. You can disapprove of any of these companies. Microsoft gets justified backlash because they've promised and not delivered. That's not "unwarranted hate". For these companies to change, they need to be called out when they're in the wrong. Nintendo has dealt with it. Sony has dealt with it. The result? Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

"the game is barely interactive"

Oh, so you've played it? Just stop.

OT: Most Sony games are within that range! Fantastic, regardless! Should make that back with ease.
