I can respect that in regards to what they showcased, and I agree that all we can do is hope they deliver to the scope I referred to. Hears hoping.
The revolutionary aspect mainly stems from the countless layers of custization, choice, etc. which makes for a more realistic experience. Genre’s that will allow for real life layers of decision and thought is where the dominance will arise from. For example having a simple “skill tree” provides no layer of thought (in my opinion), thus it’s easier to become boresome more quickly. What CDPR’s creating is looking to break this barrier. Marrying the rpg aspects with constant “real world thought...
If they hit every mark on their to do list and expectations for the game it will do better than RDR2. There has been no level of combination of interactive and story immersion in an rpg like CP 2077 in any another video game. Again, if they stick to what they’ve stated (and shown) thus far this will outflank RDR2.
Lol when someone has to list “early access program” you know there is something wrong.
I don’t blame people for their negativity towsrds MS. You must be joking if you don’t recognize that if you are an XBox fan this generation has been nothing but broken promises and disappointment. Don’t know why all should be forgiven since they reeled people in this gen while they take their sweet time to put solid studios and titles together for an entirely different generation.
Btw Recore was their best exclusive and what in the world happened to their most promising ti...
Hoping for the original version of the opening theme song minus skrillex to at least hit the soundtrack.
Tetsuya Nomura, Kingdom Hearts Final Fantasy and Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
After playing the alpha the story actually seems like it has true Bioware written all over it, which I was very pleased with - and the gameplay aspects were original and phenominal. The only concern I had is something a lot of games have issues with for the casual gamer - loot and rewards. There needs to be an emphasis of “care” and “appreciation” when it comes to the equipment and findings in the world. Similar to RE 4 & the upcoming RE remake. You find a new weapon, and the dopamine in ...
The protagonist of the last Gears of War game. The one with a beard in the next one I saw a trailer for. He looks like a chode
Cloud from FFVII. His demaleanor especially in Kingdom Hearts is subtle in the best way. Noctis FFXV runner up.
I literally thought there was no way to top Simple & Clean and Sanctuary... then as I’m listening to the beginning of this song I’m about to be proven wrong in the best way.. until the dubstep hits my ears. They could have had 3 main theme songs that were all timeless, standing the test of time forever.
Open World games. There can be more emphasis on enclosing segments to create a more story based narrative and experience.
Easily RPG's. If you think about it logically, RPGs not only allow for an elaborate and expressive way of playing and getting enveloped, but they also can carry traits of other genre's and sub-genre's. Best of both worlds.
I feel like balance is key. So in regards to single player vs. multiplayer, I prefer co-op. Choose a friend and go through the story experience together. No “multiplayer” but co-op intimacy.
1st party studios that don't have a consistent stream of AAA games. If it is going to take 4-7 years to make the games then they need to utilize the billions they have in opening or acquiring more studios.
I only play on playstation with the exception of xbox one using the game pass trial that came with the console last year. I personally need to feel that in a game I’m challenged with aspects I would have to overcome if I were truly in that situation. The upcoming Resident Evil 2 looks like it will be able to achieve this in my opinion, as well as RDR2 also was able to do
Creating immersion and care for the character I’m playing. This isn’t just done through great storytelling. It involves the formula that CD Project Red has in their dna. I haven’t played many games like this and I’d like more. I don’t understand why more developers don’t do this especially 1st party studios. Gamers are evolving, and the straightforward way of playing games don’t grip me as much. Sure I will get plenty of disagrees since most people here love to point out that there is nothing...
Fuck yea it does. If you watch the 2013 reveal trailer, and imagine the potential of this being a true non-linear rpg with the phenomenal voice acting and story combined with the amazing world setting, there is a reason expectatipns were high prior to release. (And I’m aware we were never told it was an rpg, however in my opinion rpg’s are what allows for the more realistic connection to the character and immersion to the experience).
Bloodborne by far has provided a new take on an original concept that developer From Software made last gen with Demon’s Souls. From gameplay mechanics to the mystery and secrecy of the world layout.
FYI it is not available anywhere to pre order at the moment.
