The PC version has a 61 on Metacritic. Being an Xbox exclusive has nothing to do with it being a bad game.

@Gaming4Ever: That is a logical statement, but it can be both. I have plenty of negative things to say about the switch, and deep down I want one, but not in its current state or with its current support.

I do not think that it is a viable console, and that's why I cancelled my pre-order. That doesn't mean that I don't want one, or don't hope that support for it gets better going forward. It also doesn't mean that I'm going to ignore the fact that t...

The original Wonder Boy in Monster World or the original Wonder Boy?

Actually, I haven't heard anyone hating on it. It was a great game.

If that's your takeaway on why this game is divisive, then perhaps you should reexamine your priorities.

@Perjoss: If you think about it, RPGs have traditionally *not* been about branching plots. It's not as though there were multiple endings to Final Fantasy VI, for example. And yet, that is widely held as one of the best RPGs of all time.

Gamestop bought EB Games (Formerly Electronics Boutique) years ago. They're branded that way in Canada, but its the same company with the same policies.

Followed shortly by a wide expansion of games they won't take, and further exclusions based on volume.

But still, the fact that they're doing this shows that the "Circle of Life" story hurt them pretty badly.

Not sure what the humor is here. This game gives me a giant nerd boner. Just hearing LeVar Burton gush about how much fun he had with it was pretty convincing.

That would have gotten you a funny bubble under the old system. :)

Preach brother. Ended up with over 300 photos by the end of the game.

They might *announce* it in 2018, but I doubt we'll see it till 2019 at the earliest.

@Specimen79: Yeah, that's pretty much what I meant.

Yep. Very much a hot take. Next will be how Mario 64 was overrated and The Last of Us had terrible characters.

Maybe this is your first experience with Forbes' game coverage, but it definitely takes... an alternative viewpoint.

Well that is indeed a super-subjective, highly click-baity slideshow/ad farm/list.

2019? Next generation hardware will be out by then.

3274d ago 8 agree2 disagreeView comment

Well you could say either with the developer for the cash grab, or the consumer for buying them at ludicrous prices.
