Why?
Seriously. This was clickbait, and not even amusing clickbait.
@Tsar4ever: None of those things are actual issues with the system, including Foxconn employees sabotaging systems. That's ridiculous.
Ditto.
@RonsonPL: Ah, that makes more sense. I misinterpreted what you were saying. It's still an interesting technology, and I can see interesting applications for it, but its got a long way to go for use in gaming.
Its bad enough in general. Once he's making a profit off of it, it's even worse. Considering the number of times that he's had issues with "using" other people's work in the past, I'm amazed that there's still people giving him money.
Not sure why you got disagrees. Someone doesn't just have rohypnol on hand for no reason. This guy's a dirtbag.
The system doesn't have cooling issues, this game just has some poorly optimized code. Equating the PS4 to the early 360's massive design flaws is laughable.
Its just bad code in the game that's causing the problem for some people. If my system can run cool for Arkham Knight, there's no way this little game should put stress on it.
Its gaming news, particularly if you're one of the people supporting this guy through Patreon. If I were someone who was supporting a guy who makes 70k a year by stealing other people's hard work, I'd want to know.
If your field of view is 200°, doesn't that mean that you'll notice the narrow hololens field of view even more?
Not sure what your point is exactly, but I have to say that I was a bit surprised by the demonstration. I would have thought that the visible field would be larger than that. And if Microsoft is willing to put that in a demonstration video, you can bet that the actual version doesn't work any better otherwise that's what they'd be showing t...
@ftwrthtx: Daily? That's a ridiculous exaggeration. PSN doesn't go down any more often than Xbox Live.
Maybe if you'd played the original, you'd notice all of the improvements. Granted, the original did look surprisingly good for last gen hardware, but the new version is amazing.
@kowan: That doesn't make any sense. Just because it's a remake, doesn't mean that they have to throw out everything that made the original game great. Final Fantasy XIII still used turn based battles, so its not like Square-Enix hasn't used it recently.
In reality you have to have both. Unless you have good content, the hardware won't sell, and if you can't sell the hardware you're not going to see developers invest in making good content. That's why the launch window is so important while developers will gamble on the hardware based on specs alone, and having a platform that can finally offer a reasonably equivalent PC experience allows for some of the VR PC content in development to be ported to PS4 certainly doesn't hu...
Duplicate post.
They said two months ago that they weren't going to be at Gamescom. Why would they reveal a bunch of games there instead of at their own Playstation Experience?
@rezzah: Maybe not hundreds of hours, but pretty close and still no joy here.
Considering that all we've seen from Rise of the Tomb Raider is scripted set pieces, I'm not sure how you can make that assessment.
What's also interesting is that we've seen more of Uncharted 4's gameplay between E3 and last year's PSX than we have of Rise of the Tomb Raider which is due out six months earlier. I would have thought that they could have shown off a better vertical slice than the ice climbing segment they demonstrated. It just looked l...
@thisgamer503: If 20 million people were noticing it, you'd see thousands of these articles a day and blood in the streets. You sure as hell wouldn't find a predominantly confused reaction like you see on this thread.
Sure, PSN download speeds could be faster. Everything could be faster. But I don't have issues with it, and it's only gone down once for me in the last year, and then only for a couple hours. That's a pretty damn good track record considerin...
