Bah. Ubisoft has enough of my money. I'd rather a smaller studio gets the payout.
Plus, platforming games are hard enough to get right without them also being procedurally generated. The game just doesn't look appealing to me.
Gah! Don't start with the ending of the story!
An aggregate 78 on Metacritic is terrible reviews?
@UKmilitia @1nsomniac: The IGN footage from Gamescon was the PS4 version, and their own footage at that, rather than this recycled Twitch stream. Go look at the other footage out there, and you'll see that this is not representative.
@christocolus:"There is no denying the value of EA Access"
Really? Cause I'm denying it.
For $30 you get 10% off digital EA games, which means you have to buy six EA games a year to get your money's worth. And it only applies to digital games so you can't even trade them in when you're done. They're discouraging physical sales over digital where they get a much greater margin.
You get early access, which is good....
@Eonjay: Anyone who was trying to make a "scandal" over Sony not doing another demo at Gamescon was grasping at straws in the first place. After the amazing show that they put on last year, I had no doubt that they'd do another one, but I thought they would at least move the date to earlier in the season.
Especially in the US where "Black Friday" is such a big shopping event, that an event like PSX would be a perfect way to increase sales if it was a ...
Stealth and deception are valid military strategies. As for a straight up fight, watching Big Boss get eviscerated by an entire army wouldn't make for a very long or entertaining game.
Its probably one of those post game fun things you get that don't mesh with the storyline. Like Tanegashima in Metal Gear Solid 4, or the human catapult in Peace Walker.
Awesome. I can't wait.
Every time I play this series, I think to myself "there should be a half hour Borderlands TV series".
Well Dying Light had a simple but effective use of the touchpad; swiping in a different direction brought up four of the most critical menu screens, for maps, weapons, crafting and quests. (IIRC) It saved so much time, particularly in co-op when the game wouldn't pause while you were in the menu.
"I hated Metal Gear Solid V before it was cool to hate Metal Gear Solid V"
This is basically what I get from this article.
Absolutely. I do not accept the author's premise.
With a platinum trophy in MG4 (which includes the Big Boss emblem), I can say that the stealth elements in the game are excellent. Most people aren't aware of all of the possible factors that will set off a guard's attention. That could be sight, sound, shadows, radio calls, guards noticing others missing from their posts. It is very realistic.
To recap, the Boss Extreme requires you to be very familiar with the game, and has the following criteria:
- Complete...
That's just a factually incorrect statement. Out of all of the Metal Gear games, MGS4 was the best, providing significantly more weapons, tools, modifications and abilities and giving the player an immense variety of choices when approaching every situation. Having all of the MGS games, I can say that MGS4 is the perfect end to the franchise, tying together the plot elements of all the previous games and bringing the story of Solid Snake to an incredibly satisfying conclusion.
Not sure why a slim is required if the current version is priced less than the PS4 anyhow. Unless they'd save on cost and sell at an even lower price point.
Which tells you that enough people want them to make it worthwhile, otherwise they wouldn't keep doing it.
Yergh. 60's-70s porn. That could be a risky proposition.
If you were listening to the commentary on the video (depending on which video you were watching), you'd hear that they were talking about the ability to shoot while driving. In this case, the player shot out the tire of the car with a magnum, which caused him to flip over due to the speed he was going.
Having tried to get a couple of the collectibles in Mafia II that require you to jump a car into various unlikely locations, I can attest that they've had a realistic weight to them in the past. I'm doubtful they'd change that now after two games.
Using a glitch. Something that is in the article, but not in the title.
