Next up, why I changed my laundry detergent.
Wow. I'm going to get downvoted to kingdom come for this with all of the usual suspects on this thread jumping on this dogpile, but I'm going to say it anyhow: good job cherry picking the worst possible examples of what can happen with random generation in No Man's Sky. Meanwhile there are literally thousands of videos and screenshots of awesome creatures and environments out there that demonstrate No Man's Sky at it's best, rather than purposely seeking out the anomalies....
It's always amazing to me that the 6/10 review makes the hottest articles while the 8.5 or 9 reviews pass by with few comments. People like to dogpile on to poor reviews to highlight the flaws, I suppose.
I've seen some ugly creatures, and I've seen some awesome creatures. Its only some of the more bizarre skeletal structures that I've seen that cause problems with the animation, but for the most part they're pretty solid.
@EpicSandwich: You mean a 72 on Metacritic? Hey, the game's not for everyone. Some of the critics really didn't like it, but a lot of them really did. Mind you my enjoyment isn't based on what critics think, it's based on my actual experience with the game. So yes, it is fun. Maybe you should play it before you go to fifty articles about it and downplay it. It isn't for everyone, but there are a lot of people out there loving it. Myself inclided.
@Kleptic: Spot on. If I could start a slow clap for you, I absolutely would my friend.
Too soon.
I wasn't expecting much based on the Space Oddity trailer. But when I saw the 10 minutes of gameplay that they showed at Sony's E3 conference, I was damn surprised. This game looks awesome.
Every planet? Cripes. That's a lot of birds to swear at.
@mkis007: Sony owns the rights to Spider-man for movies, and made a deal with Marvel to have Spider-man in Civil War. It has never been stated directly, but it seems obvious that part of that deal (in addition to having a Marvel helmed Spider-man movie tied into the MCU) was the right to create an exclusive Spider-man game. After Activision/Beenox's mishandling of the franchise recently, and horrible movie tie-in games, its even possible that a quality caveat was made part of the deal, re...
Sony has competition. Let's not get off into the weeds here.
@moldybread: Let's be frank, both companies negotiate exclusivity rights, all the better to have their logos on the official advertising for the games. Regarding Street Fighter V however, it was funded by Sony. Much like Quantum Break was funded by Microsoft. Despite the fact that they were both developed by third parties, the game wouldn't exist without the support of Sony and Microsoft respectively. ...

It is so much fun.
Um... play it?
Seriously, there's enough streamed video out there that you should be able to tell right away if this game is for you. I watched the leaked videos ahead of time because I wasn't sure I was going to like it based on what I'd heard, but between the videos and the patch notes talking about features, I bought it and have been playing it for a week. I enjoy it a lot, but I like games like Fallout or Minecraft where you have to be self-sufficient and c...

I haven't heard of any promises that Hello Games made that they hadn't kept. So wouldn't the number of promises kept be "all of them"?
Possibly because they're enjoying the game? I am.
PS1 / PS2 accounts were remarkably difficult to hack. ;)
@DarkZane: People can always find something to complain about.
While I completely agree that articles like these are terrible, I think you over-corrected a little on your response.
Because it's awesome?
