This is an interesting game, but it really relies on cooperation and strategy that is fundamentally incompatible with the toxic cesspool that is online gaming. Maybe with a clan I could see it, but I have my doubts. Screenshots don't do it justice though, its a beautiful game in motion, even if it is SERIOUSLY weird.

@Kingthrash360: Exactly. Why would they piss off the early adopter by shutting them out?

3564d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Both PS4 Pro and Scorpio are flawed as a concept, screwing the early adopters and holding back the potential of a new more powerful console by the need to preserve backwards compatibility. Developers will have to create patches for three years of existing games on the PS4 if they want to take advantage of the PS4 Pro, and four years of games on the Scorpio when it releases, all at their own expense. No developer is going to spend money to improve a game that is old enough to be available used...

People can be disappointed in the delay but still want the game. Let's wait to see what the game is like before making a bunch of wild guesses and complaining about issues that don't exist yet.

In the Guardian interview with Andrew House that you are referencing, the actual text reads:

He also refused to rule out further hardware instalments in the PlayStation 4 generation. “We think that for a really substantial period of time this is the PlayStation 4 lineup. We’re very comfortable with that.”

I knew this was going to be a legal nightmare.

@PutridPlop: I defy you to identify one false statement I've made regarding the Xbox One S or the PS4 Pro.

3565d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

@PutridPlop: That is some convoluted logic that comes back around to you agreeing with me. The Xbox One S has a UHD Blu-Ray drive, and can't render native resolutions higher than 1080p. The PS4 also supports external storage, as well as the ability to replace your non-proprietary hard drive which the Xbox does not. The Xbox One S with 1 TB storage is $50 less expensive and one third the power.

Corrected summary: Xbox One S plays UHD Blu-Rays which the PS4 Pro does not,...

Meh.

@PutridPlop: I didn't say that the Xbox One S couldn't play games that look good. I was disputing your incorrect assessment that they had an identical feature set. You'll see above that I mentioned the UHD Blu-Ray, however I also mentioned the Xbox One upscaling from sub 1080p resolutions instead of some games playing natively in 4K with others upscaled from 1440-1800p resolution, resulting in significantly higher resolutions.

The Xbox One S starts at $299 for ...

How is this not going to be a legal nightmare?

3566d ago 25 agree7 disagreeView comment

But its not about how much more powerful it is than the PS4 Pro, its how much more powerful it is than the 20 million Xbox Ones out there that mark the boat anchor holding back its power. How long before they just decide to cut us loose? In order to recapture the market share they expected all they have to do is screw us over, and it would be the easiest thing in the world to do because let's face it, those of us who like Halo and Gears will just take it and buy their next damn console ag...

Hard to tell in sub 720p screenshots, with only the E3 trailer to compare to.

Except render games at higher native resolution, add graphic improvements, improve framerate, etc.

Sigh. In the US, the Xbox One has sold more than the PS4 for July and August due to the introduction of the Xbox One S. Globally, they did not.

PS4 just announced a price drop, has VR coming out in a month, and the PS4 Pro in two months. Think what you will about their console, its going to sell well to those who want better performing HD games or 1440p-2160p resolution. They won't be "behind on specs" until 4Q 2017. Until that time, they are now ahead on spe...

I agree with everything you said except for buying a PS4 Pro / Scorpio.

3567d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

The Xbox One S is one third the power of the PS4 Pro, and barely outputs native 1080p gaming consistently. They've already announced some native 4K games for PS4 Pro, but likely most will upscale from 1440p upwards to 4K. The one and only feature the Xbox One S has that the PS4 Pro does not have is the Ultra HD Blu-Ray drive.

Fanboy nonsense drives me nuts. Give people the facts and let them make their own choice. What good does distorting the truth do anyone?

@Mystogan: He also said last PS4 edition for a substantial period of time. That specifically doesn't rule out a new generation console.

Wow. So not only are you super racist, you're also advocating corporations spinning facts however they want. That seems like a dangerous combination.
