Jesus Christ, Microsoft is in full spin mode today. Why do they need all the damage control? Let's just wait until November and let the systems speak for themselves.
"lets hype up our consumers, then when it actually releases it is nothing like how we said it would be."
Seriously? After everything Microsoft has done, how can you say that with a straight face?
Stop looking at the Wii U Microsoft. The PS4 is over here.
Tell it to Halo. The Uncharted IP still has a lot of stories left in it.
They can do both.
Trying, and failing.
Nah, there's always room for more. Ten million by christmas, after all.
The US won't be far behind.
Think you sort of answered your own question there.
Driveatar.
More like "cloud adjacent".
No. Next question.

Everyone should have the whole picture. Microsoft needs to be straight up with the consumer, and let them make an informed decision.

Edit: @Ma1asiah: This is not an old article. The pictures were posted *today*. Look at the original article at SemiAccurate that has all the data, and not just the one picture that this site cherry-picked. Y...
@Starbucks_Fan: It means that the Xbox One is at 1.31 TFlops vs 1.84 TFlops for PS4. That overclock really didn't do much for the Xbox.
Edit: Not sure why the disagrees. It's not like it's an opinion, they're facts. Look at the picture for the proof. Prior to the overclock it was running 1.23 TFlops, now they're at 1.31. That's not a massive increase. Microsoft needs to give people the complete picture.

Once we see Microsoft's cloud offloading calculations from your console to the server farm, then we'll talk about realistic goals.
SNES was a more powerful console than Genesis, and the PS1 was more powerful than the Saturn. The N64 was in there too, but like the last four Nintendo systems they were really not in step with the other generations hardware-wise. It was arguably more powerful, but the limitations of the cartridge made that somewhat a moot point. In any case, more power is never a bad thing.
Also, the PS4 is more powerful as well as cheaper, so that's good for both reasons. :)
...what?
More importantly, from day 1 of the Playstation 4 launch Sony went out of their way to show that they listened to the feedback from the consumer and from their partners on what went wrong with the Playstation 3 launch, and took every step to learn from their mistakes. The February reveal was a love letter to developers, and a demonstration to Sony's fans that they were ready to return to the philosophy that made the PS2 era so successful.
