Just like 1080p resolution.
Its also easy to make money by selling a powerful system for a fair price like the PS4, especially when your direct competition is a more expensive system that isn't as powerful, and has memory dedicated to Kinect features you probably don't want.
Are you smart enough as a buyer to pay $100 less for a significantly more powerful system?
That ad should have been phrased differently.
My first thought was "By the time this is over I'll bet there'll be a lot more *unpurchased* Xbox Ones".
Good! Congratulations, and hope you enjoy your PS4!
By this time next year, all games on Xbox will come with a party hat and a flamingo casserole. We already have a few examples of statements that have no basis, so it's just a matter of time before someone makes another one.
No reason they both can't be true.
Some people don't have the "high concept problem" of having too many games to play, and instead rely on games to deliver a lengthy experience for their gaming dollar. If you were only able to buy one or two games a year, wouldn't you want them to have enough value to keep you entertained?
Wow, if you feel that way about the PS4 footage then you'd better not look at the Xbone version. 720p upscaled, loads of pop-in and frame rate problems. You'd best go back to the PC if you don't think the PS4 version looks awesome.
It wasn't fake. I watched EA's livestreamed event and saw it with my own eyes. The reasons for the texture issues were apparently known, but it still had horrible pop-in and frame rate issues. Forget about console loyalty, trust your eyes.
Too bad they're all in 720p with poor frame rates.
The title of the article is worded poorly, but the intent was to say that 34 titles were to be released by Christmas, with over half of them being exclusive to the PS4. That's a lot of damn games!
I think you mean 50% more power than the Xbox One, rather than more than 50% of the Xbox One's power. But otherwise, I agree. :)
Being slightly bigger than the original PS3 design on the other hand...
They can keep it. http://www.gameranx.com/upd...
And yet Mt. St. Helens lies in the shadow of the Xbox One. Seriously, it's that big.
Well that's just professional grade clickbait. Good pull, IGN.
They didn't show all of it, like the launch pages for each game, or the other XMB style choices up top.
No, there were several times during the live stream that you were seeing the first person view of a player, and it was having the same issue. It looked awful.
Its not from an early build. Its from the live streamed event that Microsoft held this afternoon. It was their current build being played 32 vs 32 on Xbox One consoles. I watched it, and saw the pics above during their first match, and I couldn't believe my eyes. Ground textures were snapping in and out, pop-in was horrible. I don't know if its just Battlefield 4 that's awful, or the Xbox One version, but it looked horrible.
@dirigiblebill: Why bother? It's created by the Official Xbox Magazine site. Are you expecting an impartial evaluation? Or anything other than damage control and spin?
