Do you realize how long Sony supported the PS2 after the PS3 launch? They're going to migrate their focus to the PS4, sure. Of course they are, it's their flagship console, but they're not going to drop all support for the PS3 cold or anything. That's ridiculous.

I have 177, but I refuse to play games like Hannah Montana. I'm seriously considering giving up trophy hunting. Its just another hook, and they're seriously sucking the fun out of gaming. I'll go for plat on the games that I like, but for the trophies that make the game a painful grind, you have to ask yourself why are you bothering? I could be playing something else instead of hours of mandatory multiplayer, or farming kills of a particular type.

@TheKayle1: ...you do realize that the Microsoft Board of Directors is considering selling the Xbox Division and Bing right? Look it up.

Ironically, the video maxes out at 720p. Talk about misrepresentation.

Or Mass Effect 3, or Dead Space 3. Its not just the sports games they're shoehorning this wretched practice into.

Agreed. That screams fake, along with the very slow deliberate adjustment of the slider, rather than a speedy clicking like you would do naturally in real life.

Sorry pal. Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut is $19.99 on Steam.

@webeblazing: So the sale is only good if you have the system that the software is for? I'm not sure what your point is. Part of the reason they can offer it so cheap is *because* it's digital, just like Steam sales.

What the heck are you talking about?

Red Faction Guerrilla was released five years ago, and had jet packs, a quicker pace... and full environmental destruction. It also had 16 players and was on the last generation systems. There is no way that they chose 6 vs 6 play voluntarily, any more than they chose 720p. It was a choice they were forced into to conserve resources.

Well, its not good but its not bad either. Why would you need to stream something that you had a physical disc for? Everything I've heard of describes this as a subscription service like Netflix, which would allow you to access multiple titles rather than specific ones.

Its not like you should have access to the stream for free for one particular title that you physically own, and not have to pay for the infrastructure that comes with the service.

@minimur12: It was part of their streamed conference on Monday. They showed it, and described it as having a virtual 750" screen that you could look around to see all parts of. I don't know what this article is talking about, because they seem to have not watched the live stream.

It did well, and it was a solid game with some spectacular set pieces that were very impressive. I didn't think it held together narratively as well as Uncharted 2 did though. I'm hoping that Uncharted 4 does a better job of integrating the story into the gameplay.

I in fact don't believe it, considering these articles keep popping up and, aside from November 15th, have had none of these PSN issues.

@RAZORLAND: The difference is that Blu-ray sold PS3 systems as opposed to the Kinect which, for a lot of people, does the opposite for the Xbox One.

I think you need to go back and look at what we were playing 8 years ago, if that's what you think.

As long as it's in the same world, but nothing to do with Joel and Elly, unless they're DAMN SURE they have a good story for a sequel.

Hope no one has spoiled it for you yet. Don't read anything about the plot until you're done.

@mhunterjr: Because a multiplayer experience is largely dependent on the quality/quantity/presence of other players at the time you want to play, while a single player game can be experienced whenever someone wants and the experience would always be there.
