Very true. People seem to forget that Microsoft have done that twice now, they just ditched support for the console more quietly the second time. Meanwhile the last game for the PS2 was released five months ago, and the PS3 will have software for years to come.
Bubble up for well said.
Wow. I remember that Mafia trolling, back in the day. They poked fun at the grass and for removing clothing physics from the coats. It's true though, it seems like the chickens have come home to roost, and that's what causes weirdness like people talking about "secret sauce" or "new drivers" that are going to save the day.
Obvious trolling aside, Knack is pretty awesome.
No Uncharted and Gears of War? Well that's just not going to happen.
"the only next-generation game that runs 1080p "native" 60fps, period!"
Are you being willfully misleading, or are you just wrong?
"Why does everyone think because it ended well it has to stop? Can nothing else ever happen to these people for the rest of their lives?"
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
'Nuff said.
If you read the comment, you'll see that they're being sarcastic about the suggestion. They make a number of humorous suggestions as to potential features like "clickers as big as buildings". So I wouldn't worry too much about it.
EA left 5.3 million users on the table when they signed their exclusivity agreement with Microsoft.
That's what people said about the 180 on DRM and always online, but Microsoft did it to stay in the race. I'm not a fan of Microsoft, but they're not stupid. If it becomes clear that they stand to lose less by dropping the Kinect than they do by keeping it, they'll make the business decision to remove it in order to stay in the race. They're in a difficult position right now, and they'll do what's necessary.
That's not late. Launch windows are always slow for games on new consoles, and you can see the same thing with the Xbox One. Obviously you don't remember when the PS2 launched. Now that was a dry spell.
By comparison the PS4 has a flood of games this year.
Just like the old gypsy woman said!
On that note, there's such a thing as being *too* relaxed. They could lean on those guys a little. Honestly though, I'm hoping that they turn out a masterpiece and just shut down though. After Ico/SOTC, the pressure to deliver a masterpiece every time must be incredible.
I don't think you read my post.
Yes, PCs are stronger than consoles.
No, this is not a new phenomenon.
Yes, there will be titles that the PS4 will not do 1080p and 60 FPS.
No, that won't bridge the performance gap between the consoles.
The point is that we're comparing apples to apples, not apples to hovercraft.
@MAiKU: You're right, the series has changed, and not for the better. And it didn't start when the game went multi-platform, it's been a steady decline for years starting with X-2.
Brink attempted to apply this same strategy to its multiplayer, which was effectively the same as its single player campaign with bots to fill out the ranks. I'm not sure its necessary for Titanfall, but it certainly made the Brink servers feel less empty than they actually were.
Well played, sir. Fubble+
Why did you just spend both of your bubbles being willfully wrong?
You're complaining about console weakness then defend the Xbox One? Ironic.
PCs are stronger than consoles. This wasn't news in 1985 and still isn't. You don't like consoles? That's fine, go play on the PC. But if you are comparing consoles, saying that the PS4 is only slightly more powerful ignores the fact that the usual 720p/1080p differences in games regularly shows the PS4 pushing 2.25x the pixels, at a higher and more stable frame rate than the Xbox ...
Hey man, I don't want the QTE at all, let alone be the only mechanic in the game. At least The Order has other gameplay types that look incredible.
I'm sorry, you were complaining about frame rates and then went on to advocate for the Xbox One? Did I misread that?
