The down votes probably didn't complete all 3 games. I did and there are some sloowwww parts. The games are fantastic but i think you're right ... only the subset of fanatics like those on n4g would pick it up. People claimed they wanted a new star ocean game and probably forget we even got one on ps4... which is much easier to play than a game like xenosaga but sold pretty mediocre . Just as an example of market forces.

Sony gets bluray ms tries hdDVD, fails and next gen is bluray, sony gives free games and eventually ms starts games with gold, I guess you could claim ps4 pro is a response to something but what else is there ? I mean.... Sony has had the share button all last gen, so the share button in itself isnt really anything to pay attention to. The PS5 is already fully compatible with PS4 which likely includes all of the PS2 classics, and at bare minimum its going to support PSNow which is quite a lot of PS3 games.

Actually I'll bet it would still be ok. Sony sold the ps3 at launch for 499/599 in 2006 and inflation means it's not even as much money as it would be in 2020.
