@ Volkama yea I understand that misconception. Most people had no clue what DRM was until this year's E3 and associate it with that. So it's understandable.

@TheEvilWithin ... it's not just about comparing Wii U to PS3 and 360 sales ... its also about Wii U third party sales compared to PS4 and XB1 which just came out.
Call of Duty ... Assassin's Creed are two of the biggest sellers on the PS4 and XB1 right now.
How much did those games sell on Wii U which has been out for over a year?
The main Nintendo fanbase do no support third party games. This can be proven as far back as the Gamecu...
Depends what u want in a game. Tomb Raider has better pure gameplay than Last of Us.
Basically ... it is DRM ... maybe a bit more fair DRM but still DRM. Online was lost ... so the system kicked off Killer Instinct access.
If I bring my Blue Ray of Marvel vs Capcom 3 to my friends 360 ... I dont need an internet connection to prove I am there.
Thanks for the well written response. I agree for the most part about what you are saying that many of the third companies screwed themselves over by making poor ports, incomplete games, no DLC, etc etc. But we also have the what came first question ... the chicken or the egg?
Historically ... third party games even of high quality just haven't sold that well on Nintendo consoles before dating back to the Gamecube.

First person I would fire is Reggie. I know the internet loves him but when he does his interviews ... he just annoys me with the way he answers questions with misdirection and his cocky attitude.
Iwata ... I can't say you fire him yet since he did oversee the Wii, DS and 3DS to incredible record breaking sales ... we might not like everything he has done but the company has indeed thrived under his watch.
They need to make sure they release a big game themselves at least within 2 months at most ... they can't allow another 6 months of nothing big to release like they did in the first half of 2013.
Also they need to work non stop on getting third party games to fully support their system. I don't know how they can make that happen but that is what they need. Can't expect third parties to spend time and money on making Wii U games if no one is buying them.

Sony seems humbled by the PS3 era. They themselves started slow with the PS3 and now actually have the lead over 360 in the HD console race.
Either way ... I plan on getting a PS4 to join my Wii U. Nintendo exclusives plus Sony and 99% of all third party support is a great combo.

Sales matter to gamers like me for good reasons.
I seriously doubt that happens ... cuz not only does the install base need to improve but the third party games themselves that are currently on the console need to sell. So far ... only Nintendo games are having any real success on Wii U which is typical of Nintendo systems.
Wii U might do "well" if Nintendo comes out with games often enough but as a Nintendo fan ... I can't see it beating the PS4. Sony has very good 1st party studios ... and the key difference ... 99% support from third party games. XB1 will have Titan Fall and some interesting 1st/2nd party games as well with the same 99% support from third party multiplatform games as well.
So while Wii U most likely have the best 1st/2nd party and best "exclusive" ga...
They will keep making new ips until they find something half as successful as a Mario or Pokemon.. if and when they do ... that studio will mostly just make sequels to that franchise ala Gran Turismo ... ie the only Sony franchise that sells almost as much as a Mario or Pokemon game. Let the blind sony fanboys "disagrees" come even though I am stating facts

Actually a bad game released to million of unsuspecting gamers who then b**** and complain again and again while buying yearly installments of said franchise until it is patched a billion times over after they sold it to you and u provided free beta testing to the company.
