No Man Sky has been shown for a year now and in that year we have seem practically little to no gameplay variety other than flying and doing nothing with it.
I think people are going to be majority disappointed when this game launches.
2 million is definately a profit for most games even most AAA games. Only a handful of games have a budget that requires 2 million to make a profit.
@npugz7 ... oh man that sucks. I have the same issue with Half Life 2. I could never finish it cause it literally makes me sick to my stomach. It's probably the field of view that cause it amongst some gamers.
A good Polygon article???? I can't believe it.
Fantastic game. Glad people who didn't own a Gamecube will finally get a chance to play it.
Yes Skyward Sword is fantastic but also structurely very different from the other 3D Zelda's.
Also it has a lot of creative motion controls which work very well as long as you are far enough from the sensor bar but some people hate motion controls whether they are done well or not.
Zelda II is still amazing today imo. It just doesn't play like what we consider traditional Zelda gameplay.
It actually plays more like a Metroidvania. A damn good and challenging Metroidvania
It's definitely not dead ... it just will end up in a distant last place. Stop trolling.
Mario Kart 8 has little use for the gamepad
Smash Bros has little use for the gamepad
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze doesn't have any use for the gamepad.
Bayonetta has little use for the gamepad.
The majority of the big games published by Nintendo themselves barely make any use of the gamepad. Even Nintendo admits this mistake ... why can't you just admit it was a mistake and hasn't really been worth it.
LittlE to no third party support will do that to you.
The original Wii got away with it thanks to the casual gamers who fell in love with Wii sports Wii fit Just Dance, etc etc
Bu those casuals have moved on to smartphones and tablets.
To get core gamers to buy your system. .. you need GTA, Battlefield, Tomb Raider, CoD, FiFa, Madden, Need for Speed, fill in the blank third party franchise all on your system.
Nintendo has...
Microsoft and Sony have nothing to worry about Nintendo UNTIL Nintendo can manage to get FULL THIRD PARTY support like they do.
Until that happens ... it will never be a fair fight between the three.
But IF it happens ... then Microsoft and Sony should be worry as it will be 1st party vs 1st party vs 1st party ... and in that case Nintendo wins.
Wow u really can't break free enough from your fanboy logic to just give credit where credit is due.
PS4 had a ton of deals as well that were just as good. Target cartwheel had the PS4 for 340 with a free game and a 20 dollar PSN store card.
Best Buy had PS4 for 350 with a game.
Walmart had PS4 for 329.
Don't kid yourself into thinking PS4 weren't heavily discounted well.
XB1 just did the right m...
No offense but I think you are overthinking this.
Impossible for one publisher to release a "TON" of games.
The quality of Nintendo's games should never be in question. Nintendo's 1st/2nd party games are still amazing.
The issue is they lack the third party support that the others get. And when you look at the sales charts for XB1 and PS4 game sales .. third parties dominate the sales charts for them because their combined output is always going to be greater than the one 1st party publish...
As far as exclusives ... Wii U wins imo for 2014.
Unfortunately ... the games that are not exclusives (which is the vast majority of games) don't exist on Wii U ... and that is a pre-requisite for best console. You got to have 95% to full third party support from the 3rd party companies.
The Wii U has to have a companion system like XB1, PS4 or gaming PC to be complete imo.
Heck ... Wii U isn't even enough if you are just a Nintendo ...
Wii U is backward compatible.
But based the amazing sales of both XB1 and PS4 this holiday ... the message is clear to video game console makers that consumers do not care much for backward compatibility unfortunately.
I doubt they will implement this type of stuff next gen unless it practically makes no difference in cost of developing their next console.
Keep telling yourself that ... you might actually believe it one day.
As DarkAstronaut mentioned ... people buy what their friends buy. PS4 already had a huge lead thus the appeal of XB1 even with a price drop is lower due to this.
So honestly ... you shouldn't be shocked that PS4 is still winning.
What you should be shocked is that XB1 is at least making it a fight now and is winning in the USA.
Minish Cap, Oracles and Skyward Sword were all fantastic.
How's UnEpic?
