It's a game we knew about so it wouldn't have made a big difference as you said but every little bit helps.
At least make the statement stronger that the rest of 2015 has some good to great games even if 2016 is a huge question mark for the Wii U.
The game seems to actually use the gamepad in actual GOOD unique ways as well. I don't know why this wasn't there nor was Devil's Third.
Nintendo doesn't push the little third party support they get (yes I understand Nintendo has co-owns the IP but I mean the developer making the game).
Nintendo imo still is one of the best publisher of quality games but business wise ... they make so many decisions that are hard to understand.
It is definitely at its core a Mega Man game ... not just a game in its genre.
I am a huge Nintendo fan but I honestly feel that the Wii won in terms of overall sales since they won over the casuals even casuals who would never think of buying a game system thanks to the Wiimote and Wii Sports, Wii Fit.
But for overall CORE gamers ... both the PS3 and the 360 were the real winners of last gen.
Again ... huge Nintendo fan ... just being real honest about the situation last gen.

One thing they did better than Rocksteady is boss fights.
Arkham Origins had fantastic n memorable actual fights with multiple Batman Villains.
Darkseid and his New God Apokolips army attack earth. It's not so hard.
Superman is ultra powerful ... but he does have ultra powerful enemies himself.
Actually ... I think it would be a good idea ... as like an inside joke. Maybe Superman's equivalent to the Riddler puzzles ... a Prankster Puzzle. And have Superman say to himself ... "this is the dumbest idea ever"
@ Lightning Mr. Bubbles ... all Nintendo systems have great 1st party titles and around a handful great exclusives from third parties.
Gamecube is no different than N64, Wii, and Wii U.
The problem is each of these lacks the multiplatform third party titles that are the MAIN reason why Playstation and X-Box are the more popular brands for core gamers.
It is really that simple.

Look ... I agree they are doing damage control when they should actually be apologizing. But they did in fact have a handful of great games outside of Xenoblade.
It's just unfortunate that not enough are for the Wii U and we knew about most of these before.

When someone wants a single game console that has 90% of all games .... they buy an X-Box or Playstation (or gaming PC)
Nintendo systems are pretty much JUST FOR Nintendo. No reliable third party support.
If you buy a Nintendo system, you buy it as a complimentary Nintendo adapter ... or you are limiting yourself to games from just ONE publisher.
Really ... it's a battle between X-Box and Playstation.

And you know it actually might have hurt Call of Duty's popularity a bit when you consider that Call of Duty Ghost's standard maps are widely considered boring by the CoD community while their DLC maps actually were fantastic.
But not many people knew that since they were DLC maps so CoD Ghost ended up getting a bad reception due to its terrible in disc maps. If those DLC maps were free, Call of Duty Ghost would have been better appreciated for its fantastic netc...
It's bad for gamers ... great for the publishers in general because while Sony fans get Call of Duty/Batman DLC first ... X-Box gets Rise of the Tomb Raider first.
When honestly ... all these things should have just been available on the same day on all platforms.
LOVE Splatoon ... but the limited to 2 maps per mode rotation sucks.
Splatoon is an amazingly fresh 3rd person shooter. I wish all the modes on the disc would have been unlocked day 1 but at least this has given me a chance to fully give each mode a fair chance.
Turf War is very fun ... but I love Splat Zones.
Hopefully this Tower Control is great too.
I like how having DLC a month earlier for either 360 or PS4 makes a game look "exclusive" ... it's so stupid that this type of marketing actually works on the masses.
I believe NX is a late 2016 release and the Wii U projects have pretty much stopped. Anything that hasn't already been announced for Wii U has been moved to NX quietly.
Metroid by Retro was officially stated to be an NX project IF it is being made by the game's producer.
Zelda U is most likely getting the Twilight Princess treatment and will be a Wii U and NX title. A game of that size will cost too much too make and have it sold on such a small use...
