Heavy Rain was amazing.
"Games that don't are Dark Souls, Shovel Knight, and a number of indie games."
I consider those more in the hardcore side as there are MILLIONS of gamers who can play Call of Duty or Madden all year long and never once touch those games.
@ Gordon ... it depends on what you call a casual gamer.
I said Core gamer ... not hardcore.
In Core I believe you have the hardcore, and the gamers that only buy the sports titles, big racing titles and the mass marketed shooters.
Those are your core gamers imo ... as in the core consumer for video games.
A true casual gamer to me is the type that might buy a Guitar Hero one year and skip the rest until 3 or 4 years later. ...
As long as they don't have the level of third party support as the competition ... they honestly won't be winning in the minds of the average core gamer.
Can they show the best exclusive content? Sure.
But not the quantity OF quality games.
They are just ONE publisher vs everyone combined.
or how about 2D Castlevania (or Metroidvania) returning?
IGA's Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

The fact that they play nearly every important non exclusive third party game. IE Call of Duty, Madden, The Witcher, Dark Souls, Battlefield, FiFa, Mortal Kombat, Batman Arkham, The Evil Within, Shadow of Mordor, Dragons Age, Grant Theft Auto, Star Wars, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, etc etc
Come on ... you knew this.
I love Nintendo but they are badly outnumbered with no third party support.
You know there are other people who will tell you to grow up and forget about video games right?
You sound just like them.
I thought almost everyone that actually lays the game knew that ...
Bloodborne for me. Game is a masterpiece.
They were getting them out weekly all of 2014 with Sony dominating.
You are just adding unnecessary speculation.
So many disagrees yet no constructive counter argument against my points. Not shocked.
And yet gaming reviews are far more accurate than movie reviews.
Movie reviews say that Superman Returns is better than Avengers 2 Age of Ultron and Man of Steel for example. Superman ... Returns. A super hero movie where the superhero doesn't throw a single punch. Not joking.
Mario Kart 8
12 bucks for 16 new tracks, 6 new characters, and even more new karts. 200cc thrown in for free.
So basically matching or beating the top two current gen exclusives ... Super Mario 3D World and Bloodborne. Is that why you picked 93 specifically?
Wrong thread. How do you delete?
I disagree.
While I don't like Advance Warfare ... the addition of the boost jumping/dashing mechanics actually added a bigger gap to overcome skill wise and even technology wise.
By Technology, I mean you had to have a keyboard/mouse adapter or a scuff controller so that you can easily jump and aim at the same time (prior to PS4's update that allows button changes for the overall console). Unless you use the awkward "claw grip" ... it is i...
Bubble vote for you. Unbiased fair post ... we need more of those.
I would love to see an update to the Evo totals.
Last note I saw was that Melee, SF4 and Smash 4 were all over 1,000 entrances.
I assume all of them are even higher now.
I think the hardest thing to learn in Smash Bros 4 is spacing. Since it is not digital inputs of Walk and double tap to run/hop ... getting that perfect distance with analog controls feels harder for me than say learning how to poke with crouching Middle/foward kick with Evil Ryu in SF4 since I know 100% what speed I am moving at.
Most of everything else seems easy to learn ... just hard to truly master.
Nintendo assisted? Nintendo who exactly? Monolith Soft is 100% owned by Nintendo the publisher. I assume they mean EAD since Monolith Soft is technically as Nintendo as any other 1st party Nintendo studio.
Iwata mentioned he wants more teamwork between all their teams. Guess this is a start.
