Played with my brother last night. He jammed and spawned as Luke in the battle of Hoth. I'm covering him, he's cutting people down in a trench when all of a sudden I see a black figure crest a hill 15 meters in front of me. Vader. He cuts me down with his lightsaber right before him and my brother engage. Possibly one of the best video game moments I've had in my life.
Cannot wait to get home from work!
Spawn, shoot, die, etc. more of the same really
A good game is a good game. Why needlessly name drop 2 Xbone exclusives when the conversation's about uncharted? Let the suits worry about sales in their board rooms. Those naysayers obviously haven't played UC 1-3. If they want to play them remastered, which would be wise since they're unmatched, awesome. If not, their loss. No need to get so worked up over something so trivial. It reminds me of fighting with my wife only to have her bring up some random past sleight from 5 years...
I actually got to play the last of us for the first time ever on PS4 because I sold my PS3 early in the cycle. I envy those that still haven't played the series. They're in for a massive treat once the series comes into its own in uncharted 2. Hell, even Drakes Fortune was stunning.
Oh wow. I actually envy you man. You're in for a treat. Modern classics. In 20 years they'll still be talking about uncharted.
I think it'll surpass it. The last of us was great but uncharted... I can't wait to re-experience these games. Uncharted 2 was one of the most impressive games I've played in my entire life.
I'm with you man. I do love it. Already done 53 side ops and only 16 or so missions and only 23% complete which blows my mind - a lot of content in a small package.
BUT it does get repetitive.
In codec communications and recordings, I can almost never tell who's talking. They all sound the same since Kojima decided to recast snake. And ocelot sounds like a wimp, I miss the straggly voice of his ps2 days when each character had a distinct sound.
Always remember that pricing parity is not consistent across international lines, especially when dealing with 3rd world countries. And as far as lower pricing in relation to manufacturing proximity - I doubt it. They're produced in bulk to be shipped in bulk to distributors who then sell to retailers. Producing a special batch just for their local economy and organizing local shipping, etc, would actually be cost prohibitive I'd say because their manufacturing processes are almost ce...
The Latin America market would be tough to get numbers from, I imagine. Corruption, black market, aging data infrastructure, etc, etc. having just visited not too long ago, I really can't see consoles being huge sellers there to others than the upper classes. At the hotel I stayed at, the workers there made $8 / day and had to survive on tips. Tough to save for a ps4 in that type of economy unfortunately. Count your blessings friends.
I like games where there's a "why" behind the gameplay. Even outrageous games like the wolf among us, which is one of my favorites ever. I need something that will immerse me. Tomb raider immerses me in the story and world despite a female main character. She was gritty and real in the reboot which is why I enjoyed it so much.
And to be fair, this game reminds me more of heavenly sword. I'm a fan of realism, or at least faux realism, for the most part. And ...
And the name is awful. Doesn't roll off the tongue well whatsoever.
It does look gorgeous but I keep asking why??? Why robot dinosaurs? How do they reproduce? Why is everything so primitive yet there's mechanized dinosaurs? Almost rolled my eyes out of my head when I watched the trailer
As terrible as it sounds, a female main character kills it for me. I don't care how many disagrees I get. On top of that, with my tastes, it just doesn't appeal to me. It just seems like a bunch of dudes got together and said, let's think of the most outrageous things possible. What came out of that were robot dinosaurs. Unless it's crazy good, I'll be passing on this one.
They didn't even release the game yet but they're already starting to push ...
I feel they're so pubescent at best. When I was a kid I liked them, I guess I was a part of the original tony hawk generation. But now in my late 20's with a wife and kid, I roll my eyes at these skateboarding games. I can never see myself playing one again. But snowboarding games, on the other hand, like SSX, I can still jam that all day long. I wish they'd bring those back.
Yeah, this game would be awesome in like 2004. I just don't see the average gamer over the age of 23 going for a game like this. Just seems so pubescent to me.
This game reminds me of "haze" for PS3. I'll reserve judgement for release but I'm really not excited for it whatsoever.
Investing in an X1 version will only bring more revenue for them to put towards their next game. I'm an equal opportunity gamer - your choice of system, in this day and age, shouldn't limit the games you play with the exception of first party exclusives. I caught a tinge of fanboy in that comment but I could be mistaken
I hope it hits Xbox one. I'm a huge horror fan and I'd be so dissapointed right now if I were unable to play this game. All horror fans need to experience genuinely frightening horror games. PT and alien isolation were the most intense gaming experiences I've ever had. I hope soma fits in there with them.
I actually bought it the second it was available on the store but I havnt played it yet. Too caught up with MGS5 and FIFA 16 at the moment. A game like soma deserves my full attention. Once I finish metal gear I'll be taking the plunge. I need to mentally psych myself up for these types of games. Alien isolation was traumatizing in the best way possible. I would play for a half hour and remove my headset with jittery hands and have a smoke while pacing on my porch because it was so intens...
It's crazy that this game is not battlefield reskinned as I was expecting. This is truly Star Wars. If I didn't manage a sales team I would have called off work to play today. I'm here in my office itching for 5:00 to come. My 3 year old, the force is strong with that one, she likes watching almost as much as I like playing!
