I wished they instead focused on gt7 for ps4
So assuming you played the third installment; the only reason I didn't get it was because I didn't play the first two. Are they pretty much required to understand the story?
Dude a solid 400 hour story mode would be epic. 400 hours to me = 70 hours story mode, 330 hours filler / side content. A true 400 hour story mode with fresh content throughout would be amazing. A true adventure that would take the average player months, or even years to finish as its a journey more than a game after a certain point
Same here! And I don't think most people will get "400 hours" out of it. I think the 400 mark is how long it would take for a person to do everything in the game / secure a platinum. I won't play it for 400 hours, probably more along 100-120 max by the time I'll get sick of it, but that much gameplay and content is seriously amazing. Everyone should be able to play the game how they like it with their own specific play style. Which is certainly diggable.
So if a person is looking to get back into destiny and hadn't played since vanilla, but has all the expansions, what's the first thing they should do? In a level 29. Should I just wait the TTK? Or log in now and start leveling up? What's the level cap now and how hard would it be for me to get to a level of competence at the moment?
Bubbles. That's the best comment I've ever read lol
It's the same game that we've been getting year after year... Definition of a me-too product
I respect your opinion that you love the game, but I don't blindly say anything. My reasoning is this: Call of Duty's success has hurt the gaming industry as a whole. Developers have gotten used to taking the lazy way out, releasing the same game over and over again. Mediocrity and familiarity have trumped originality as of late. Assassins creed is a great example of this and of how far that series has fallen since AC2... And don't even get me started on Destiny.
Forza makes me want an Xbox One. I have driveclub right now which is great, I'll never sell it, and with GT7 ETA MIA, Forza is the only other racer on the market that has my eye and unfortunately I cannot play it! I'm into realism, not arcade so NFS is automatically out. Maybe I'll pick one up when I get my income tax return, but I get married in a week so I'll have to really sell that purchase to her to get it in the house...
I also agree. I bought the expanded edition and quit before the expansions came out. I can't trade it because I had so much faith that I bought it digitally. Now I just kind of feel like a fool and my pride and past experience with the game is going to make it hard for me to justify giving them any more money for another disappointment.
On the topic of being so angry I traded a game for store credit: Advanced warfare left my possession within 72 hours because I just frea...
Yeah... I did the same. I played the hell out of it then quit just before house of wolves which is a shame bc I bought the $90 definitive edition with the expansions included. I tried to get back into it but it seems so complex now. Last time I logged on, now I may be wrong or exaggerating, but there were like 5 different currencies on top of other raw materials needed for upgrading or purchasing weapons and armor. I didn't delete it from my PS4 yet because there may come a day when I get...
I'm actually pretty sure it comes with that expansion my man. Save your money and just buy the taken king so you get it all in one package instead of buying piecemeal
That's the main turnoff for me as well. Way too fast paced. I've always called it "the cocaine of gaming." Even though battlefield isn't realistic by any stretch of the imagination (wait behind cover 15-30 seconds to heal vs 5 seconds with cod) , it's still better than Duty. I like the big maps that allow me to assess the situation and use my brain. In duty it's all reflexes and connection. Maybe I'm just older, jaded and cynical considering I loved CoD 4 whe...
Yeah I tried it. It just seems like more of the same to me. Run, shoot, die. I can't wait for this series to end already but apparently people still have fun with it so they'll keep pushing out the same fodder year after year.
Too fast of a pace for me personally. I've tried them every single year and have hated them since mw2.
There were some truly great ones - rocket league, race the sun, stick it to the man, outlast, limbo, counterspy, etc. but others I just can't get into. I hated binding of Isaac, don't starve, never alone, and countless others that came out. I have very particular taste and I just chalk it up to different strokes for different folks. For example, I can sit on a hill in DayZ for an hour, just watching a town for signs of movement for something to shoot at but 2d platformers be damned! A...
Stick it to the man was great. When I saw the same developer I voted for zombie Vikings.
I agree, ignore the haters. I assume that you, like me, are not a fan of indie games, eh? I'll still try them, but they're almost all deleted within a few days. I've deleted 90% of the free 2d platformers released. It's crazy that people still make them when the only way they'll "sell" is to be given out for free. I'm hoping for more ps+ offerings on par with a game like Outlast from months ago.
It's seriously the same game with very minor alterations. Run shoot die repeat. I prefer a slower pace, since mw2, cod has been practically dead to me because I've grown to absolutely hate the series.
On a side note, cod 1, 2 and 4 were masterpieces.
Wow. I loved this article. Hit the nail on the head in every way from my perspective. One thing I always hated about cod is that you're an invulnerable super soldier. There's no cover to utilize effectively as the enemy will just sprint up and knife you. It's run shoot die repeat.
On a side note, I'm glad they opened up the cod blops 3 beta for ps4 players. They've assured me that not buying that frustratingly unrealistic garbage is the right move.
To me, GT is the end all be all of the racing sim genre. I have driveclub holding me over for now but I can't wait for #7
