Honestly, I feel like Halo was their one basket. I can't think of any other exclusive other than tomb raider, which doesn't count because it's timed, coming out this year.

I'll always say it, Microsoft pulled a PS3 at launch (arrogance). They priced a less powerful console $100 more than their competition and made Kinect a mandatory inclusion to justify the price. If they HADN'T done that, I'd have an Xbox One in my living room right now instead of a...

I felt like halo devolved from that of the golden boy to the whore on the corner. It started with the departure of bungie imo. I loved Reach. But 4 though... I removed it from the tray and broke it half, I hated it so much. Now I see halo as cynically as I do call of duty. Maybe it's because I got older. Maybe 4 just murdered whatever love I had left for the series. Regardless, it's just not for me anymore. And that kind of makes me sad. Same thing happened with SOCOM but at least the...

Reach was my favorite. Mostly because of the story, more emotional engagement imo than previous offerings

My thought is that they're so damn close in specs / features and 90% of games are 3rd party, that players this generation have less incentive than ever to buy two consoles. Personally, I can only think of a handful of Xbox exclusives - crackdown, halo and Forza, that are known to the general public, outside of our own gamersphere here on N4G. (Tomb Raider is timed so I'm not counting that.)

Hell, I've always owned both consoles each gen, this is the first time wh...

Awesome, especially considering what a coin represents to military personnel. I still carry one given to me by a Col. In my wallet and I'll never give it up. And I have a grenade pin for my key ring, slightly less authorized, but that's always something I held onto as well. Pulled that pin from the first live grenade I've ever thrown, the instruction was to drop it on the ground afterwards, I slipped that bitch right into my pocket.

NFS is like an old dog shuffling around the house, way past its life expectancy. He won't eat, can't sit because of arthritis and also rocks the blind/deaf combo. But instead of being merciful, they hold onto the nostalgia of better years, refusing to put the mutt down. It's time EA. Do what has to be done.

Lipton101 on psn if you'd like to play black ops tonight. Like I said, it's enjoyable, just stale, more of the same.

Eh, I'd probably pass on it. This gem is just about past the point of remasters, in my opinion, barring a connection to a future game being released.
Case in point, the uncharted collection. A lot of people switched from 360 to ps4, myself included, and didn't have a chance to play the originals. The move was smart by Sony, it gave players an option to experience the predescessors (sic) and widened the market for 4 because of it.
On the other hand though, releasing re...

I never said they were scary to the audience members, but to the rebels, you really think they'd lock them up in a cozy cell and provide 3 meals a day for an indefinite amount of time? F**k no man. They'd kill and torture them with the full faith and credit of the imperial army behind them. They're an evil force, not just a nation with a difference of opinion. They are not held accountable for war crimes. Theyve always been portrayed as nameless, faceless killers, correct me if I&...

I don't understand how these games, which now feel more like glorified map and skin packs, continue to receive 90+ on most reviews? Worse part is, in one way or another, most reviews acknowledge that it's "same ole, same ole," yet they still reward it with overly enthusiastic review scores. There's has to come a point where the review community says enough is enough, give us something different or suffer the consequences.

Almost all these reviews say "While the formula hasn't changed much," or "still the same call of duty...", yet the game still gets 90+ in 90% of the reviews. It's entertaining, don't get me wrong. But it's the same damn game. I just don't see how these reviewers can say with integrity that the game deserves such high scores when "the formula hasn't changed much." My question: is it because it lives up to the fluid standard of gameplay set ...

I just don't see it happening. My biggest reason for being against it, and hear me out here, is the intimidation factor of the imperial army. Nameless, faceless evil blitzing across hoth terrified the rebels in Episode 5. But faces, they carry and convey emotion. Even if the imperial army were not all clones at the time, I still don't see the helmets coming off. #1 reason is obvious and has to do with protection. #2; it's easier to commit evil acts when hiding behind a mask. Here&...

I wouldn't call them sheeple, they're more like politicians voting against an issue they believe in because their donors won't like it. It always seems like the call of duty games have the same reviews. No big website even dares say anything bad about the series. It all comes down to money and power. A negative review will have consequences, especially when dealing with activision.

I'm playing it currently too. It's a competent game, but if you blindfolded...

Definitely NOT watching this. 4 days to go, id rather not have any surprises ruined. I've already come this long avoiding media on this game to preserve the joy of discovery, not going back now. I was skeptical until I played the beta, now I'm a total believer. Hopefully they stay true to the vision and don't allow you to remove your helmet as a stormtrooper or anything retarded like that.

3735d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Not real storm troopers my man. You never saw a face of a single one in any of the movies, barring the clones in the prequel trilogy. I'm pissed about it because that would never happen. The empire is strict in discipline and big on authoritarianism. They should have allowed us to customize our troopers, yes, but once they take off their helmets, it just ruins it.

I picked it up on psn yesterday and downloaded it when I get home from work. My rule of thumb for buying games digitally is this: it needs to be either incredibly cheap, available exclusively online, or of "midnight release" quality. If I know I'll be keeping it forever and I'm excited enough to want to play it at midnight on the dot - I'll buy it digitally. I purchased battlefront digitally this year. Last game bought digitally before that was destiny last year before ...

I'm feeling so left out right now. I have the cash and honestly want to go out and buy an Xbox One bundle right now but my wife would murder me.

My only concern is: does it run smoothly? All I'm looking to do is go from point A to B, how I get there doesn't matter if the experience is smooth and fast.
