That's pretty much what happened with me and the SNES classic. I plugged it in, viewed some games, played a few and haven't gone back ever since that first time and why should I or anyone? I have a Steam backlog of literally hundreds of games, many of which are AAA titles. The only time my SNES classic gets played is when my nephew comes over to play Kirby or something.
Fallout 76 may be a lukewarm disaster but no one is going to really care when Elder Scrolls 6 drops. However with that said, other companies who have been riding the consumer's good graces like Blizzard for example need to take notice and realize that they're not "immortal" to fan backlash. Although the situation between Blizz and Bethesda are different, it just goes to show that one is safe from nerd rage.

Ah, yes, class action lawsuits. The thing that people enjoy jumping on to "stick it to the man" but the only thing that happens is a butt load of cash to the lawyers themselves and everyone else gets a few pennies thrown at them to make them feel like they were a part of something.
