oooooooh.....sounds cool....I guess I'll have to play it again!
Thanks.
I will be picking up a pair of these to go with my DualShock 3.
Honestly....Concave triggers are much better for precision control than Convex ones, like they are now.
on second thought, the trees don't even seem to have proper physics. They just fall and once they hit the ground, are completely immobile.
Ugh. And I thought DICE was being detailed. I guess not.
Oh yeah, and remember that BIG F*CKING TREE that fell in the beginning of the video?
Well, a few seconds later....
It's gone.
Battlefield Bad Game Design?
After seeing this botched attempt at realism and detail, I'll stick...
Sorry, but knife + fence does not = explode into pieces.
Also, all damage in Battlefield Bad Company is done very cheaply through model swapping that is triggered by an explosive device or action....you just don't see the swap take place because of the smoke and particles that blast in your face, obscuring your view.
None of it is calculated in real-time, using physics or anything of the sort, except for trees and loose objects scattered on the ground.
T...
Also, I saw a LOT of REALLY BAD screen tearing.
Hope that doesn't make it into the final product.
I honestly don't know what anyone's talking about when they say resistance had bubble shields...
Aren't you thinking of the Shield secondary fire of the augur? That projected a flat 2D shield in front of you....not a 3D bubble.
If I'm wrong...someone please inform me....I beat the game and never saw bubble shields...
o_O
The APC bubble shields will prevent enemies from firing inside, but you can fire out from the inside.
Did you read the article, or what?
It's the personal bubble shields that are the health gainers / drainers, not the apc bubble shields.
Speaking of absurdities, why does Clinton feel the need to spout belittling crap?
Hey....it's my right to comment on absurdities.
I love this quote from that review:
"CodeMasters, if you are listening, raise your damn standards. This truly unique concept was completely murdered by a complete lack of detail. Boo"
I'm glad I didn't try this game now.
Just pressing [windows key] + TAB will have the flip interface come up, but it will go away when you let go of the windows key.
If you press ctrl + [windows key] + TAB, then the flip interface stays up even if you let go of the keys.
Wow....could these updates get any more lame?
I messed around with the crysis demo....and honestly....after destroying EVERYTHING (trees, walls, towers, boats, cars, shacks...), and each thing came crumbling down....I just can't play other titles that claim to have destruction.
It's just....annoying...
Why did they have to go for a cosmetic style of destruction? Why couldn't they do it physics-based?
The developers of Red Faction Guerrilla are doing it....why not Battlefield?
I can now ...
I've read and heard that the recommended setting for your TV's sharpness is off or up to 10%.
Apparently, that produces the most natural image.
I have my HDTV's sharpness set to 10 out of 50, and eveything still looks crisp, and lines are still defined really well, without having that extra "ghost line" or "hard edge" that high sharpness gives you.
That song does not go with that video.
That song does not make me think of war exercises.
Wow....that is a sh!tty game....
lol....funny sh!t
Wow...what a horrid tearing-apart of a fantastic title.
Someone who digs THAT deep into games doesn't deserve to be playing them.....he should be MAKING them if he's that much of a critic.
I need to start playing BF2 again, now that I have a PC that can run it well.
lol....this is so old.
But classic.
DLB isn't just one of those internet "peeps" leaking footage...he's been doing this a long time, and he's actually very respected for his opinions and videos and product demos (controllers, accessories, etc.)
His videos on youtube get thousands upon thousands of views.
One of his videos got about 150,000 views, and a few others are around 30,000 views and quite a bunch between 5 and 10 thousand as well.
Know before you speak.
