This game's potential is limitless.

Absolutely astounding.

SO you're saying that what I'm watching is my imagination, and doesn't exist at all? Am I imagining the near-perfect framerate, and near-perfect animations and effects, and STUNNING, CGI-quality lighting?

Excuse me, but when alpha footage absolutely destroys any other FINAL products out there, I have every right to make claims as such.

You talk as if you're a developer. Sorry if you're offended or intimidated by Killzone 2. I know it's daunting.

It's ok ...

Oh wow I just noticed that....that would be AMAZING icing on the cake if there's dynamic volumetric smoke....WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW

There are many businesses and foundations that use AEP for its name, to which one do you refer?

Anyways, the lighting in Killzone 2 is beyond anything any human has ever seen in a game before.

It already HAS set the bar for lighting.

Killzone 2 PRE - MOTHERF*CKING - ALPHA code has SET THE BAR for lighting in-game.

Day-one buy.

'nuff said.

Actually, I agree with the first poster.

THe Unreal Engine (which could now be classified as middleware) made its big debuts on the 360.

You can thank the 360 for making the use of Unreal Engine so prolific throughout the gaming industry. It's easy to use, and it produces well-animated and textured character models (but not much else).

It's not Sony or PS3's fault with the "colorless" stuff. Look at Uncharted, for god's sake. THat game is BEAUT...

Nothing can touch this game.

NOTHING.

Crysis what? Gears who? Uncharted huh?

Killzone 2 has now obtained *wicked-sick* status.

Do any of you have any idea how brilliant these developers are?

Guerrilla Games and Polyphony Digital are now my two favorite developers ever. Perfection in two different, yet equally beautiful forms.

Wrong.

Hey MART, what about the added cost every year to be able to play games online for the 360?

The 360 is NEVER its retail price EITHER.

Point-Counterpoint.

This is the part where you say "Touche`"

Oh, and let's not forget battery packs, recharge kits, proprietary hard drives and memory cards that are so grossly overpriced, themes and icons that cost money, advertisements even with PAID subscriptions, closed-network to outside sources...

My point exactly.

Actually, if a 360 game is on a dual-layer disk, then the DVD drive read speed is limited to 8X, which is slower than the Blu-ray drive's 2X data throughput.

Also, don't forget that the the 360 almost never reads at maximum speed, due to the structure of data storage on DVDs.

Blu-ray reads at the same exact rate on all areas of the disk, so there are MANY occasions where the Blu-ray is actually CONSIDERABLY faster than DVD.

Please don't become part of th...

POG, You're one of the most immature internet persons I've ever seen, and you call people "kid"?

In your case, you're the pot calling the kettle black.

You are notorious on this website, and for a good (or bad?) reason. Your sheer immaturity and defensiveness.

You know, if I was Barack Obama, I'd be offended at the horrible representation of me that you give to others.

In fact, your avatar is a direct contradiction of the way you ...

Unfortunately, you're comparing multiplats (most likely), and developers prefer to make them the same, so as to not put off one fanbase or the other from getting the title.

Exclusives are where Sony's strength is at. That's undeniable and proven.

It's MART. Or Power of Green. Trust me.

Have owned all current-gen systems at one point or another, and I prefer the PS3 in the end.

6607d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Wrong. Installs CAN help SEVERELY reduce pop-in (reading from the hard drive is faster than streaming data from the disc). Also, because streaming any type of data from the hard drive is faster, frame-rate can DEFINITELY be improved, due to faster data throughput.

That is one HELL of a good comment. Major bubbles for you, and you're added to my track list. Very astute.

I completely agree on all points.

What the bloody hell is with the story picture? Can't the OP put something better for an official announcement of a year's lineup of software?
