The dev means that graphics can be done in DirectX 10 STYLE, not actually using DirectX 10.

Please understand it's all relevant to developer skill with a given API and hardware.

If you understood the title correctly, it means DirectX 10 STYLE graphics, not necessarily using the DirectX 10 API.

Regardless what you say, that's what the meaning of the phrase in the title is.

Also, I didn't add words, I just came away with the correct meaning the dev was trying to get across.

The PlayStation 3 uses OpenGL, so it can do anything Direct X can do, faster and more efficiently.

Just look at Killzone 2.

The lighting in that game surpasses anything seen on any console or PC.

And, from a technical standpoint, that's fact.

Yes, Diablo II would have to be up there on my list too.

1. Diablo II

2. WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness

3. Age of Empires II: Age of Kings / The Conquerors

4. Command & Conquer: Red Alert / Red Alert CounterStrike / Red Alert Aftermath

5. Shogun: / Medieval: / Rome: / Medieval II: Total War w/ all expansions

One of the most addicting games for me ever was DIRT for PS3.

I finished the entire pyramid in 2 days.

Yeah, that's right, you read that correctly.

That game was like crack for me. I couldn't put the controller down.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with IGN on this one.

Haze is terrible.

Why do people still say "next-gen" ?

I'm glad they didn't make him too buff or huge-looking.

Sometimes it really is overdone, but that one looks like a nice character design.

Speaking of failed consoles...

I miss the Dreamcast =(

I really don't think Microsoft should EVER be allowed to talk about user-created ANYthing.

They've NEVER been strong advocates of it, and they only are beginning to be so now because of the modern proliferation of open-source-based software beginning to threaten their OS (Mac OSX, Linux, Unix, FreeBSD, etc.).

For those that disagree, please enlighten me with an intelligent counter-claim.

While being extremely rude, that admittedly was extremely funny.

I am over this game.

Lost interest MONTHS ago. Games with much better in-engine destruction-rendering ability have been shown.

Battlefield now actually looks kinda cheap.

Especially the trees.

They explode in balls of fire, you know.

Did you know trees explode when they hit stuff?

I didn't.

This game is a midnight day one buy for me.

I lost interest in skating games after the PSOne.

Yeah, but you'd have to have a HUGE hard drive (300-gig +) to even CONSIDER using the PSEye for a security cam.

The audio and video recording is fairly high-quality, and the file sizes are large.

And as of right now, I think there's a 5GB limit imposed on the PS3, as far as storage space available for recorded audio and video go.

That's referring to EyeCreate.
