It left the lasting impression that Rocksteady is out of ideas for more Batman, but they had some technical and presentational wonders within AK that made me think "OMG, make up your own story-driven sci-fi action game already" I know you have to seperate narrative from cinematography and spectacle, but mmmmm, there were some really nice neon-esque colors with excellent lighting effects, in particular aboard that blimp that made me feel like I was playing Batman meets Mass Effect. ...
I'd say about half of the public people from Bioware are people I don't find very likeable or trustworthy. These ex-devs better be the good ex-devs of all the real talent Bioware lost.
I hope it has an easter egg or memorial for him in the game. It would be so fitting IMO.
I think they knew what they did wrong before Witcher 3 came out too... I just don't think Bioware has the same amount of passion they used to, plus they're losing veteran talent on a yearly basis. The main writer for Mass Effect left, the co-founders left, the director for Mass Effect left, the lead level designer, Dusty Everman left a month or two ago, I mean, the list goes on.
DA2 and DA:I were both mediocre, and also had the same lead writers and creative director...

I'd also like better game-design, animations, attention to visual detail, less fanfiction writing, less MMO gameplay. Whatever. I don't think Bioware will improve enough to satisfy me. Loved them until 2010 with the release of ME2 but then they've never really topped anything they've done since and their last two games were quite subpar IMO, including ME3 and no, not just because of the ending.
This one does actually feel like a story pack because it has cutscenes and a little story... but it's just nothing substantial and since it's not episodic either it just feels kind of pointless.
I really like Mike Gamble but his standards are usually not high when it comes to how impressive something is to him... at least judging from stuff in the past.

I think most people who have one feel like it already has enough games to make their purchase worthwhile though. Before Bloodborne and Witcher 3 came out on my PS4 this year, I felt like my Wii U had much better games on it. Mario Kart 8 was friggin enchanting.
It's games like Happy Home Designer and Amiibo festival that makes me question whether Nintendo's still got it anymore. The former takes away the good part of Animal Crossing, which is the living, breathing world following along with the events of real time. Those things are not "chores" as Bill Trinen ignorantly called it, those are the FUN parts, that make you motivated to upgrade.

No, but in a story, if the plot involves link falling in love with Zelda for instance, and Nintendo wants to portray a hetero relationship, then that dictates Link to be male.
