That's probably because its an ATI. Not bashing them at all by the way, just like to point out that a Nvidia Fermi card has significantly less performance drop when using tessellation. (as I am sure you are probably aware but for anyone who isn't)

You probably shouldn't ever buy another PC or console then, neither will play games maxed out 5 years down the line. Do you think your console maxes out Deus Ex or Dead Island? or any other multiplat?
Although this does need to be brought to light, I think we as gamers have a duty to show that people like him do not represent us in any way shape or form.
He was never a gamer, just a thug who bought a console, the two are unrelated same as you couldn't blame the movies he watched or music he listened to, Although it was because he got in the way of his game, it's clear this sort of person was going to do this to the kid for something else anyway sooner or later.
I would agree its not easy getting your head round the parts, to be honest I had help building mine since I had no idea about motherboards whatsoever.
But one thing I will say, and something I find particularly odd actually, is although performance does seem to die slowly, it only seems to be the OS, the games seem to be consistently performing (unless you get a bad driver or something)

I disagreed, but only because of how you say PC is a pain, it hasn't been a pain for years now, Pretty much everything auto updates itself and patches itself now, and the few kinks you may come across are fixable by anybody who knows how to use google, and It's normally going to take 5-10 mins to sort it out for somebody who doesn't really know what they're doing.

I would agree that at least most people who play PC also play at least 1 form of console. And I don't think gamers are leaving for PC, but PC is growing for sure, I took a look and just yesterday and Steam peaked at very near 4 million users.
I guess I am the unheard of fan of both then, I love the classics and replay them regularly. But I have liked at least some part of most modern Sonic games, Adventure games were pretty good, I thought the levels in the heroes games were ok but the gameplay a bit awkward at times, Story sucked.
Then into the more modern realm, Unleashed was fun when you wasn't a werewolf, and some of the levels make for epic time trials, It gets way too hard towards the end though for time...
What you never played an Aerial Combat game in first person view? It's by far the best way to play those sorts of games lol
Its possible, 13 had an amusement park complete with chocobos, it just didn't get anywhere near as much focus as it deserved and of course being on cocoon was not somewhere you could return to. I always thought that was one hell of a waste of a really stunning looking amusement park
I may have missed something but how does this get you extra achievements? We already have them with games for windows live, this is pretty much just the same deal with the friends list etc isn't it?
If it doesn't mean extra game, then honestly its not the sort of thing I want on my PC, its loaded full of multiple software sets as it is and I don't need apps that can't provide me anything extra. Unless this adds more games to the PC catalog then its just a bad ...

I probably should have explained that a bit better, I get their are fans asking for it, but my issue with Capcom is they take a request which could easily be implemented as DLC, and then turn it into a full priced new game.

Just don't expect too much, at first the game seems it could culminate to some interesting events and sidequests, but it never really gets there and actually kind of goes downhill for solo at the same place as it goes uphill for co-op so its a double edged sword.
Don't get me wrong its fun, but take it at the base level you see it at as it doesn't really develop, and the mod system which should give the game some extra life, is actually more tedious due to the fac...

Personally I loved K+M on this game, I played it with sticks to, but for me the mouse sealed the deal, I could snap my head round to check behind me while running without hardly any turn delay, It made the game feel a lot more immersive than with a controller since I found myself snapping my camera around to watch my steps as I jump then snap it back up as the hands fly out.

They better remake it soon, Because with FFX getting a HD remastering, people are going to start asking, why did they skip 7,8 and 9, I know a remaster is different, but they just opened a big break in continuity for the franchises re-releases.
Even a 3072mb GTX580 will see frame drops below 60 in both those games, there is only so much a card can do, the rest comes down to the code the game runs on.
