The casual era has gotten even stronger. Who do you think plays most games on the smart phone and why do you think the PS4 is sellig that much?

Hardcore gamers are neither numerous enough nor do they have enough to afford a $400 system in mass like that.

Nintendo was targeting harcore gamers from the start with the Wii U.

The irony. The hypocrisy.

You get agrees for this because its said about PS4, yet every time someone points these exact things out for why games didn't do so well on the Nintendo hardware, , they get attacked, accused of playing victims and so much more like with events of Project C.A.R.S.

Apparently less marketing, late releases, and reduced effort on the part of a developer don't matter unless its Sony. So much bias.

Forget Ubisoft. All of these bloated, greedy, abusing companies are destroying gaming with their biased practices.

They promote and favor the highest bidders, release broken games with missing content and features, and when things don't go how they want, they blame consumers and the console manufacturer of the consumers they screwed.

Ubisoft has reached EA status for me. They won't be seeing a penny of my money on any platform.

The number of core-gamer-focused multiplat games that Ubisoft has done right on the Wii U is 0.

Some may try to say Rayman Legends was done right, but that was a exclusive that was delayed when was already done. That was doing Wii U owners right at all.

So much ignorance in this comment. I don't know where to begin.

That and the 3DS are the only places it can be. Nintendo owns the I.P.

He did not call people who like those games pathetic. You and all of these journalists are twisting his word.

He said the lack of interest in more challenging games is pathetic. That in itself is applicable to anyone, casual or not.

Nintendo makes multiple new I.P.s a year.

Their core franchises already have the broadest appeal of any given game series in the world.

They have games that range from nearly every possible genre and some that are only unique to Nintendo.

Sometimes I wonder if people like you live in another dimension.

Those are not series. Those are characters.

Those characters appear in multiple series of multiple genres. Some 2D, some 3D.

4210d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

No you haven't.

4210d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

And second party titles.

4210d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yeah, lets have more carbon copies of what's popular marketing wise and release games with less content so people can buy it as DLC...

The last sentence makes no sense. Nintendo has always targeted the "broadest" audience. Everyone. They've always tried to make games that appeal to everyone.

The only change they could make is to narrow the audience.

He isn't back. He never left. The gaming media just ignored him to focus on attacking Nintendo and its other heads, but since there have been no directs or anything since e3 and Reggie and Iwata have not been in the spotlight, they are starved for a figurehead to report on and make issues out of.

Now Miyamoto is the current target for gaming journalism with people already taking his comments out of context to stir up issues.

Yep, cater to the lowest common denominator. Lets neuter everything and remove plot depth to make gender a non-issue. That always bodes well for an established series in the long run. /sarcasm

The Legend of Zelda isn't Mass Effect, and it shouldn't be. I can only imagine how long it would extend devleopment time and how much the lore would have to be completely obliterated to make Link and optional male or female without the plot as a whole suffering.

4210d ago 10 agree2 disagreeView comment

And all it will take is for the plot and some content to be mitigated to keep gender form causing an issue. Which is why I'm not for this.

Link is a reincarnating hero. This has been established by the timeline. He is the same male being reborn over and over again in times of trouble. Some plot devices and mechanics will simply not be the same or applicable at all if links gender is made irrelevant.

I would rather a new female character be made than hav...

Kamiya isn't a fan of Sony. He was seen making fun of them when he found out that the PS4 wasn't backwards compatible.

@DualWielding, I didn't know Nintendo made the RE Remake port for the Wii. I'm pretty sure the control schemes supported was decided upon by the devs alone after launch period ended.

Also, the Wiimote and Nunchuck posed absolutely no problem with the game. It played the same as it did on the GC.

4210d ago 3 agree5 disagreeView comment

@Kevlar009, they don't. They buy PS4's at the moment.

Also, Miyamoto called the lack of interested in challenging games pathetic, not the people, though what more can I expect from Nintendo haters but to spin things as negatively as possible.

I hope they put a little bit more effort into the graphics. That trailer they showed before didn't look any better than Fatal Frame 2 on the Wii aside from the lights and water.

I will certainly like being able to move around in open areas. no more fighting ghosts in narrow corridors where they initiate attacks from behind walls preventing you from being able to take action to dodge them.

Nintendo of America is in charge of what comes to America. That is why we aren't getting a lot of the games that Japan has on the Wii U, and why the dates are always pushed back to the last 3 months of the years.

Nintendo hasn't focused on Japan. Nintendo of America has focused on trying to fit on paper marketing methods that haven't worked. NOA is responsible for tyring to market to children and not distinguishing the Wii U from the Wii(this is why the Iwata hate...
