Until Dawn while fun is not GOTY material unless we're talking awards for best horror game. After watching cheesy horror movies with cheap scares and stupid characters since the early 80s UD was nothing new for me. I think the last truly scary movie I watched was The Descent and that was only because caving gives me the creeps! Once the bloodbath hit it fell into the usual bodycount formula although the ending was adequately depressing :-)
I did like the way the quick ...
Fuelled by the success of the movie this game will do really well I'm guessing. Its why I'm also predicting PS4 will outsell X1 this Xmas as they have marketing deals for this and BOIII.
@Strickers: Stop generalising to suit your cause. X1 has been the recipient of some very diverse games so far this gen. Its not like the PS4 has not had shooters and driving games as well. For months all you'd ever read about was killzone and then driveclub. Two of Sony's big releases this xmas are also shooters.
However, why dont you list all the games available for X1 that dont fit the shooter or driving category your implying. Think you'll be quite surprise...
The use of Kinect for playing Alien Isolation is great. Head tracking to peer around objects and making noise can attract the enemy.
Good example of how Kinect can augment traditional gaming experiences.
So the Xbox brand has no foothold in Japan...now tell me something I didn't know. I'm more interested in where gaming is going in Japan as console sales in those parts are pretty dire compared to previous gens. If Japan is going the way of mobile gaming then I expect to see the first true hybrid mobile/console platforms before long. You know, smartphone/tablet by day and when at home it can play the big AAA releases on your TV. Its not like the hardware is not catching up fast to ...
Question is, how many of these "casual" gamers will not buy a console like they once did?
Yes, part 2's multiplayer co-op was brilliant! Why in heck did they not bring it back for part 3!?!
Not sure I could play through the series again. Was good but not great...number 3 especially was just a generic shooter.
I know this is off topic but I have to agree somewhat. When Driveclub was released it was everywhere on N4G, the good and the bad news. Forza 6 is reviewing well yet looking at the top stories you'd be hard pressed to even know it was soon to be released!
The Cell was a beast of a CPU and gives the current AMD CPUs in the X1 and PS4 a run for their money. One could only imagine what the PS4 could have been like if it had a Cell-2 at its core!
The intro cinematic, the single player and Warzone gameplay from E3 and Gamescon...I am so hyped for this game. Loved Halo 4 and Halo 5 looks to rival the best, if not be the best, in the series to date.
Not N4G itself but its user community. I'm sure if you did some sentiment analysis you find that things were skewed in favor of Playstation.
I would say the best console racing game on the market at the moment.
Forza has definitely been my go to console racer since GT5 failed to inspire me.
There have been subsequent patches so I wonder how it now compares to FM6. I never had a problem with PC running in a sub 1080p res but I did have a problem with the inconsistent framerate, simply unacceptable for the style of game.
In the future, if the FM series needs to dip below native 1080p to achieve greater visual prowess (e.g. improved particle effects, improved track and trackside wear and tear, dynamic lighting and weather) then I'm all for it...as long as its ...
Maybe the author in this case has left it as he intended. However, I highly doubt when he was making MGS2 or 3 he was thinking about making MGS5 so who knows what he intends.
Actually, you need skill to master it but there are definitely a lot more kids playing COD nowadays.
Love the TR and Uncharted games and their is no denying they both look great. I just wish we could attain those level of visuals in a more open world setting. It always seems to be a case that the more detailed the visuals the more linear the level design and the more scripted the AI.
I love the marketplace scene in Uncharted 4, its a real jaw dropping moment in terms of visuals...but how much of that merketplace and its inhabitants can you interact with.

Lucky, love to have a proper driving wheel for this game. Alas its controller only for me.
My only wish after playing the demo is that the final game has more water being kicked up by the car/s in front you. Other than that the game plays fantastic.
You want to use Cortana on the X1 then you need Kinect, why is that such an issue?!?
