I hate the bs exchange rates on the XBL store. $7 (approx) for Lego Marvel Heros...yet in NZ its priced at $28. Been wanting it for my youngest for a while but not paying that price just out of principle.
I prefer to just take a Bluetooth controller with me. I find it hard going down to a smaller screen again after playing on my 8.4" tablet screen.
Sony misread the market completely with the Vita. They have also had ample opportunity to right some wrongs, i.e. cheaper memory cards, reinstating Youtube, potentially even supporting the Android store, but have decided to just let the Vita die.
For me the defining moment when I knew the Vita was not going to be a success was when COD was released. A true mobile version of COD multiplayer could have been epic but the game was lack luster a best. It could have been a true killer app.
A Vita remake of COD4 would have been vastly preferable to what was released.
@Mithan:
Know what you mean but it aint that big. Honestly, sitting next to a 50+ inch display the X1 looks positively tiny.
My X1 is also smaller than my SKY cable box and my amplifier.
Looks like a great holiday title. So many great games coming up over the next few months!
Was ok. Unfortunately, as expected, the rehersed demos in the past are nothing like reality. Very little team work and no real strategy.
This game is dependent on good solid teamwork and in that regard it may find a niche audience. Amazes me how few people use their headset on XB1 given that everyone gets one when they buy a console. Complete opposite of last gen, that is, you couldnt find the mute option fast enough most games!
As for the visuals...pixe...
Patcher may or may not be right but I would not put money on anyone's predictions right now. I mean, Sony completely misread the industry in terms of handheld gaming.
All I know is that we have seen a true coming together of multiple devices over the past decade and competition has advanced them at a fantastic rate of speed. These devices are just another compute device so they may replace the need for a dedicated games console in the future.
Look at th...
Well, I guess if its that important to you then don't buy Halo 5. If however, like me, you think Halo 5 looks fantastic even without split screen co-op then I'll see you on-line soon!
Yes there would be...the price. I cant believe what they are charging for what is essentially little better than shovelware.
It was interesting watch developers at TwtichCon talk about developing for VR. Raised a few things that I was not aware of about how FPS style games need to change a little to be suitable for VR otherwise you get an increased feeling of motion sickness. He attributed motion sickness as to why most games for VR at present have you standing on the spot or being enclosed in some craft or suit.
Will be interesting to see how VR games evolve over the next 2-5 years and how gamer...
I have seen nothing of Halo 5 that leads me to believe that "lazy development" has anything to do with the lack of local co-op.
Can you please link to something that supports your claim?
I would suggest that its rather technical limitations of the X1 and the developer's desire to maintain the highest level of visual quality.
Is it Soccer or Football?
I don't. If a game is all about having best res I buy it for PC. If its about best online infrastructure probably the X1. If its about where my contacts are most playing it then X1 or PS4.
Every gen we get points of difference between consoles and every gen it shifts the focus away from whats really important....which is how well does a game play!
@solar:
So, attacking the person rather than discussing the comment makes you more of an adult. Really?
I hate people that make assumptions like the one you did. Assuming I'm a kid because my dislike for Valve over their lack of support for PS3. I didn't even have a PS3 until later on but I did not appreciate how Valve behaved towards Sony or the PS3. I'm a gamer first and foremost and I welcome objective criticism or discussion from anyone in the industry or from a fellow gamer...valve gave neither and showed a real lack of professionalism.
I have no time for Valve's antics or opinion. They spent much of last gen slagging off the PS3 till they realised they could make money off of it. Their SteamBox has yielded nothing but a niche cottage industry which fails to offer PC gaming anything new...maybe if they had pushed it a lot harder but now that Windows 10 is out the majority couldnt care less.
They need to shut up and earn the respect of the gaming community again by releasing games that push boundaries o...
So, what you're saying is that when my kids wont be able to use the Playstation for Facebooking with their friends and family that they should also be moaning about the lack of split screen on halo 5?
How about you leave your fanboyism at the door and grow up.
In my household we do.
If youre interested in the exclusives then "better" has little to do with it. If you're after a media hub that can control your other devices then yes, its better.
