Might get a revision if its not as successful, to cut production costs. Like with the Vita...
See, that falls completely in the tech demo category for me. Its a novelty experience and one where after 30 mins you'll be wanting to do more...like scale the building or jump down to street level hulk style.
I'm not interested in VR for these types of experiences, not when someone has to be around to watch you dont get tangled up in cables. Novelty value 1...longevity 0.
Bold claim. One thing is for sure that VR offers a completely different level of immersion but it will really come down to to depth and complexity of the games. I personally have yet to see a PSVR game demo that has me interested in playing for more than 30 mins. RIGS is the closest to gaining my interest thus far but take away the VR headset and you have a pretty basic game.
Most of these articles are based on an initial experience, the wow factor of it all. Once this w...
I wish the pricing would go retro!
I didnt think it was garbage, was a solid campaign with a good story. If the definition of garbage is a short campaign then you cant be a fan of many games released today.
You know that the PS3s fortunes really started to turn when Sony launched the "It only does everything" campaign.
The PS3 struggled in its early years and Sony actively pushed other, non gaming aspects, to help promote the device. I think the biggest problem with the XB1 reveal was not so much the multi-purpose aspect of the X1 but rather it was forced on the consumer (i.e, Kinect), was more expensive and DRM was still of concern. From a pure gaming perspective ...
What utter drivel. You comment like gamers dont buy both consoles.
I find that those making most of the derogatory remarks re: the competition are those that sit themselves firmly in one camp. Gamers that own more platforms typically have the best views on gaming and offer a more informed opinion. They are also less likley to go on some child like rant!
To be honest, anything less than 1080p and a rock steady 60fps should be considered last gen. However, these consoles are what they are and we will all just have to wait till next gen I suppose.
Its a shame that the hardware on both sides means that resolution has to take such a hit to achieve a better framerate. Its not like there is much going on in the environments in terms of destructibility. The capture the pod map is also quite small!
It's a game for the casual gamer and will likely sell millions come this xmas. My 5 year old loves it and is already getting a positive KDR...says it all really.
Plays like a kids game or a game aimed at casual gamers. Looks great but maps are small and the lack of environment destruction makes for a very average experience overall.
It will sell millions but guessing the user community will shrink significantly in the new year.
The smaller craft also cast cg shadows. Looks all above board to me.
Killzone was ok...but the pacing and climatic sniper shot were just plain awful. Enemy AI was again fairly average.
It should have been a PS+ freebie a while ago.
I wouldn't consider buying a blue model an upgrade.
People have been saying that sort of thing for decades yet network speeds keep improving. 10 years ago I would never have contemplated having to download 50GB for a game now its the norm.
The PS1 was my second console, behind my Super Nintendo. Before then I was a computer gamer (Apple ][e, Spectrum, Amstrad, Commodore and PC). Loved the simple and rebust design of the PS1 and could not believe the space savings and curved look of the slim model.
The good old days of gaming before the internet gave fanboys a voice.
I realise this. So I'm guessing they will offer multiple bundles then, one with and one without the camera. Given so many have already purchased the cam.
Are they going to bundle PSVR with the PS4 Camera?
I couldn't care less how they want to talk this game up now. Since they gimped the multiplayer lobby I've lost all interest in this game.
I agree. The industry needs to consolidate its efforts. The money is in the software and not the hardware. Having to develop for different standards, specs, will again mean we have exclusivity deals, etc.
