I was actually pretty impressed... I mean. Flying that jet pack would be a freaking blast. I didn't even think we had anything that worked that well.
Its also the game itself though. I bought a wii for the prime trilogy. I don't have, nor will I purchase this game. My roommate had it for a bit (and hes a very big Metroid fan) and gave it a so-so review after beating it.
Its a different take on the metroid series, and not one that I think as many people were excited about. At least thats my take. Im sure many people will enjoy it though.
Yeah, I don't think thats a valid criticism for Halo. Halo should not have those controls.
@Sikbeta
And yet, Cyber gets disagrees for saying so.
Lets also point out that Gabe != Valve. There is much more to any one company than a single person. Valve is great (in my opinion), Gabe is kinda a loud mouth but Im sure hes great at what he does.
Also, he cries a lot. Which is funny, up until the point when you realize that people actually listen to his advice.
I think they could be in game. In game running on a PC with max settings mind you. Im not completely convinced there are after effects in those pictures, but theres no way the 360 will run it that clearly.
Yeah, I was really surprised by the game. I saw a vid a few month back and was not at all enticed. After that demo though, man I cant wait.
@Karum
Have you not noticed that you can take cover in Uncharted?!
Not only does it rip off Gears but it rips off combat common sense 101.
I don't think anyone is arguing (and if they are then they're just stupid) your right do do what you want with your copy of a game. Just as well however, it is the makers right to put on any restrictions they please to that product over time as long as its made apparent to the purchaser, be that removal of the online component etc.
Haha, Jaden, Most American's don't think that. You just don't hear from them because they don't get off to the sound of their own voice.
Blaming this on video games is about as reasonable as claiming a black person who shot someone did it because they are black. 12% of americans are Black, and I wouldn't be surprised if at least 12% of Americans play or have played violent video games at some point in their life.
These reports are just ignorant.
Im curious what games in the past proved to be anymore impressive than modern games? I see a lot of these articles but Im never sure how its ever been any different.
I think the real culprit here is that as games get better (and surely they have) people are now realizing the potential greatness they could one day display and expect that immediately.
haha Thantos so true. And with the increase to the zealot build time it'll actually be even better against Toss.
Also, just out of curiosity, do you build your pool at 8 PSI for that rush?
@Get High
Thats what I was thinking. Ive never had problems with Zealots, its that damn cannon rush. I would like to see them increase the build time of the forge. Presently they can get that first cannon in before theres an effective counter.
Thats from a zerg stand point however since thats what I play. Terran may have a better time with it because of marines. Zerglings however have a tougher time running down the probe to keep him from putting up more cann...
@Elite
Hmmm, I never really got into ranked since Im far to impatient to rejoin and coordinate with friends lol. However, from what Ive seen the Player matches are still quite active. Warzone not so much, but then again execution has always been more popular than warzone. Much to my dismay.
You know what game type I'd like to see? Warzone with execution stand-up rules. That is, you can still get killed from a distance, but if you're DBNO you can still...
Agreed. I love horde mode, but for competitive multiplayer Gears 2 just felt... boring. Gears 1 was exciting. If you are good you can drop 4 enemies with your shotgun even if you're nearly surrounded. In Gears 2 its so slow and melodic that if you're out numbered you are nearly F'd. Unless of course you have a nade trap planted or the OP torque / boomshot. I love the torque, but its blast radius is far to great in Gears 2. You don't even need to have an active, or stick a pers...
@Thanatos
I think I disagree with you as far as the ultralisks change is concerned. I agree however that Terran Murderballs are OP early in the game though. Which it doesn't seem like they are addressing. Its easy to clear them with Brood Lords (really easy actually) but rarely do you ever have time to get them when the terran player is using that tactic.
As for the ultralisks, I think their splash damage, and effectiveness vs. armored is substantial enou...
True, however, I have noticed the Gears 1 community getting more populated once again. When gears two launched it was vacant (which is understandable) but now its fairly active again. Which I think is great because maybe, just maybe, epic will make the third game play more like the first.
I bet they have. Bungie isn't THAT large of a studio. MW2 took 52 mil to make with many more hands working on it, over a two year period. Id be surprised if Reach's expenses surpassed that. For example, Gears of War 2 was created on an 8mil budget.
Although, thats not calculating advertising... so, lol, maybe you're right.
