Other than Uncharted and God of War those other games aren't heralded on their gameplay. Not that the gameplay is bad but it's not really focused on gameplay.
if 60 frames becomes the standard next gen then games will only look a little better than this gen. If that happens, people will feel like the jump isn't worth purchasing the new consoles. Graphics sell games. Most gamers don't know what a frame rate is.
Graphics and gameplay are what sells games. It's why games as low res as PUBG sold so much (gameplay), and games like RDR2 sell way more than the first one (graphics). If your game has a good-great story; but doesn't check at least one of those other boxes, it won't sell. Stories don't sell games for the most part.
Forza Horizon 3 and 4, World of Tanks, and theirs a couple more I don't remember.
Nothing. Cause neither console is getting it. 8k textures sure. Some games today use them.
I've never heard anyone say that digital would be the only option. And I'm in America. The least popular format, sure. But physical completely gone? Never hear that coming from anyone.
Physical will always be around but it will become the least popular format. I'll predict that by 2025 digital will have taken about 70%-75% of the market.
Devs like to put loading screens behind cut scenes. Next gen hardware will just give devs more options to disguise their loading screens. Not do away with loading completely.
There's no point in games being 60 fps if they don't require twitch inputs and/or are competitive. There's no gameplay advantage in slower games.
Destiny took huge inspiration from Halo. Without Halo there'd be no Destiny.
They’ve lasted 20 years almost. Where’d ya get that?
Games will not look better or run better on the cloud than it does on Scarlett
A game being buggy doesn't make it bad. That could ruin the experience no doubt. But we've had amazing games with bugs.
I don't think a 10 out of 10 mean completely flawless cause that'd be impossible. I think it means that the flaws are so small, it's completely drowned out by how good it is.
Gaming didn't start through single player. They were literally meant to be like board games you could play on tv.
Neither experience is superior to the other. Different strokes for different folks. That comment made you sound like a "kiddie."
@JonTheGod
it is true. They crowded the arcades back in the day, they're on TV now. They're being streamed the most, and they make the most money aside from some major single player franchises. They've always been more popular. Nobody carried TVs and consoles to their friend's house for single player games.
So I get disagrees for saying MP and SP can coexist? *extreme eye roll
Multiplayer has always been more popular than single player. Doesn't mean that single player is dying. I feel like people who keep saying this just want multiplayer done away with. Both types of games can coexist.
Yes it does. Casuals aren't invested in becoming skilled at the game. Hardcore gamers are. Casuals are just there for the fun. Hardcore are play to have fun and also be good at it.
