I don't know whether to laugh at, or feel sorry for EA. Hearing them spouting off now is like seeing a nutbar homeless person talking to himself on a street corner.
Seriously... EA, until you've released a new NFS game that actually plays well and captures the NFS spirit of the old Need For Speed games, shut up. You had an awesome IP. You flogged it like a dead horse. Now deal with the consequences. You can't simply jump back into the limelight by putting down an IP that hasn't be...
So GT5 doesn't use sprite trees, eh? I wonder what these are then...

Yeah... I feel like a bit of a git now... But I did have some fun with God of War while I had it. :)
What gives? Valve does free DLC and if they say a new game is required, I believe them. Heck how many people buy a new freaking Madden game every year when all they do is update the teams. It's still football. Give me a break.
:( I sold my PSP because I thought this game wasn't going to be seeing the light of day... grrrr.
As much mediocre press as it's getting, I've been addicted to Fuel the last few days. I don't know why but I start playing the game and I just end up wandering around looking for weird stuff between races and challenges. It borrows some play style from Burnout Paradise.
Forza series is the best console sim. Woah! I just documented the exact opposite of what the other guy said!
"... uh... weren't ps3 fans telling us that the 360 was maxed over a year ago?"
Of course they were saying that. Why do you think they're freaking out over Forza 3. If Gran Turismo had nothing to lose by Forza Motorsport 3 coming out, the Sony crowd would be silent. Their need to constantly pick the game apart and post story after story shedding a bad light on Forza 3 is proof to me that Turn 10 is justified in all of their boasting.
There's no difference. Both hookers.
Bad sportsmanship? The only reason that Turn 10 is able to get away with saying this is that Polyphony Digital is taking so long to get their game out. If Sony had a full fledged GT5 out on the shelves, Turn 10 would not be able to say as much as they are.
Once GT5 hits the shelves with all of the features announced it will be another story.
Wait... are they saying that the CGI looks better than .. CGI?
Well if Polyphony Digital ever gets around to releasing Gran Turismo, everyone will be able to talk. Unfortunately, at this point, there has been one full release Forza game and another one that's on it's way. GT5 has been putting everything off.
I've gotten more enjoyment out of Forza 2 than I have out of GT5 Prologue (and yes I have both). The online community for Forza Motorsport is all that is needed to win any comparison hands down.
pssst. NASCAR is not a good thing.
menoyou - "Ok, I am boycotting Valve. This is just unacceptable."
Yeah... that'll show em... Don't buy the game they're not publishing for you....
According to one of the Turn 10 folks, the screenshot mode will show the driver when the car is in motion but when it's stopped the driver is removed (or can be removed).
I'm sure the Forza team would be able to get the game running at 1080p as well if they made their trees by making an 'x' of a couple of sprites. Turn 10 has taken the time to create a realistic environment to drive in. Not a track with cardboard cutouts of track side items.

You're Crazy!!! :)
As much as I'd love that to be gameplay, the previous 'trailers' that Codemasters has been putting out for games have not been. If you rememeber GRID's initial trailer was FMV. They may have made a change this time around, but looking at the trailer there's enough motion blurring and lack of aliasing on the cars (this could simply be because of the low resolution of the video) to make me think that it's FMV.
Would have been cool if it was actually gameplay and not a pre-rendered vid.
Please stop posting crap about Olivia Munn. She's not worth the attention.
