I remember it well. My mom didn't understand videogames at all but she still took us. When I was a kid that was the next Star Wars. Except it didn't do well financially.

They're texture mapping the actors face onto the CGI model in an flat method to show that it is not the actual person.

Really? 24 hour dynamic day/night cycle is what makes or breaks a racing game for you?
I'm sorry that you limit yourself to so little happiness.

Yay!! Now instead of being seen as socially inept nerds, gamers can be thought of as vacuous bimbos!!!

Thank you for the name calling. You've shown your true colors.

Here's an intelligent response to your irrational comment. When commercials are aired by television stations those commercials are shown by the television company in order to pay for the programs that are shown. The money you pay to your local cable service is paid in order to have multiple channels from around the country collected and piped to your house as a clear signal.

In regards to telephone comp...

If I'm paying for a sevice, I don't want people to use that service to advertise to me.

The same thing goes for telemarketers. I'm paying for my phone bill, not them, yet they feel they have the right to use the phone service that I'm paying for, to try to sell me their products.

Actually they did put down Microsoft directly... If you'll recall the commercial where the PC has to constantly say yes with the Vista security system?

I don't understand why everyone keeps giving these irrational people a platform to stand on. Most of them are simply misguided or looking to make a name for themselves.

The main problem is that people continue to give them their place in the limelight. Most people would never have heard this person's rant if it wasn't for the credibility that is given to them simply by spreading their message for them.

Jack Thompson would never have made as big a name for himself if...

I believe that the licensing that is placed on the cars in Forza stipulates that the car cannot be unrecognizable or appear to be unsafe as the result of car damage. That's the reason why you end up with a few cosmetic issues such as lost bumpers and dented fenders but no chassis deformation.
The deterrent to damaging your car for the most part comes from performance changes. From dragging to the left or right to engine damage to the point where your car can barely drag itself around....

$15.00/month to play a game for a month or go see 1 movie in the theater and spend over $20.00. MMOs are one of the most economic forms of entertainment available right now.

All "Free to Play" MMOs make their money off of micro-transactions. You can purchase in game items for money so if there's an axe that you don't want to have to grind 70hrs for, you can just pay 2 bucks to get the weapon.

That and it makes sense for putting it on the Xbox 360. If people are already paying for Xbox Live they're not necessarily going to want to pay an additional monthly fee to play an MMO. However, tell them that they can spend x Microsoft Points for an cool axe or some armor and people would probably go for that.

Wow... The douchebaggery that's allowed in today's world is retarded....
Imagine if someone had patented the method of telling stories from the third person. How many works of literature would have been prevented?

You don't understand why damage makes for a better Sim?

How is it that you think that Gran Turismo "simulates" real driving? Almost every time I've seen someone playing Gran Turismo, they come up behind another car while approaching a corner. They cut/ram into the car forcing it to the outside and using it's traction to keep themselves from flying into the railing. Is that "Real Simulation"? Damage prevents you from driving like an idiot and as such provide...

Well if you're hoping that the game will be reminiscent of the original Deus Ex you may be disappointed. I saw a quote from the dev team lead for the game who said that they were going to change the pacing of the game so that it was faster. Basically more arcadey, less rpgeey.

There's no saying this is going to be a Microsoft exclusive. Fasa Studios who were in charge of making games based off of the old Fasa licenses was shut down. Microsoft is licensing out these properties for game development. As such Smith & Tinker could very well be making the game as a multi-platform game. There's no saying it would be a Windows / Xbox only game.

If you're want to make money, hit as many platforms as you can if it's feasible.

I just hope the OS isn't ad ridden. I mean.. that's where Google gets most of it's money from, isn't it?

You'll have to exuse the PS3 crowd. You see, until this game came out, graphics like these were only possible with the power of cell processing. ;)

Heh if you want the true Daggerfall experience see if you can find yourself a Cyrix processor based PC. :)
