i dont understand. they don't have to put their software/games on the marketplace. they can simply opt to take it to the traditional desktop if they don't want to pay that 30% to microsoft. they have choices, i don't get why they're calling windows 8 catastrophic because of that....

He might as well say that windows 8 threatens to disrupt his company's business and revenue as a result of a more unified windows experience. He's just trying to promote his company's business, that's all. That's the only main reason he deems windows 8 catastrophic.
actually, it's more that the sony fans on this website who are the ones who bring up that sort of stuff (that sony beats ms at exclusives and first part studios, etc.) Wouldn't it be expected that ms fans react in some sort of fashion?
