I'm thankful for sony as well, but regarding your comment....what about the move? It's pretty much the same thing as what the wii does.
you do realize that ms's azure cloud platform is ranked highly, even first place ahead amazon's services in recent reports.
if anyone besides sony has the proper resources and man-power to successfully implement something akin to what sony showed off, it's Microsoft.
there's going to be people like that on all sides of the console wars...it isn't exclusive.

however you see it, competition is good for any industry. And in an industry such as gaming, having only 3 major console makers, wishing any out "for good" won't spell good for consumers in general.
