That "idea" means they completely underestimated the Neo and Scorpio and are improving the NX's hardware...Honestly it doesn't have to be on par with both those to attract more third parties, it just has to be in the ballpark.
It could be they are pushing for a Scorpio day one release as well.

That's pretty much where gaming is headed. However, I doubt you would be able to build the Scorpio equivalent on PC for the same price when it is released. Also, it works both ways...there will be more PC games on the console than there normally be.

One good first party developer doesn't make a system. Naughty dog is great but it only takes a handful of their team to move on before you get an average developer.
After the Scorpio announcement I don't think anyone would be surprised of this is true...If Sony power creeps expect MS to do the same. When all is said and done these next consoles won't just be good enough but pretty amazing!
Meh...the better games will be on X1 and PC....They still wont be on PS4.
To be honest I am still not concerned with he X1's power. The games have been very good and so far few complaints. More power with the new systems is of course welcome but won't be why I purchase them.
I don't think the head of Xbox at the time cared that Sony doubled the ram...He and MS had the plan for X1 and stuck to it...There was more than enough time to upgrade the X1 ram to 12 gig of ddr3 where the cost would have been minimal but nothing was done..If Spencer was the head right after the E3 showing I have a feeling the decision to increase the ram would have been made.
