well, a lot of people have said it was the other way round for them. Story was the best, horror not always.
Soma is all about the story, and less about actual horror gameplay. Honestly this is a good idea.
No, they reduced the campaign rewards only, so you wouldn't be able to unlock those characters just by playing the campaign.
Honestly, this makes sense.
As long as the multiplayer rewards are the same then the reduction in cost still stands and the campaign thing makes sense.
(yes I know, blasphemy, but atleast try to see the logic behind it. It's possible to individually assess things on a case by case basis)
Wow kewujuxa, did you read James and Sandi's blogs ? They make even more it's awesome ! Now my grandmother works for google for $40/hr and she can finally afford that new gaming laptop she always wanted.
@theXtReMe1
PC isn't the best exclusive market if you're making a massive game like GTA. No one is going to turn down consoles, where the majority of the money is (for some types of games. PC is better for many types of games). Games like GTA aren't going to completely redo everything for the PC version.
As for what you're asking, Star Citizen is a good example. Ofcourse, it's taking it's own sweet time, and doesn't have the mo...
Finally, someone with some common sense. It's so simple to actually argue this point, but no one here seems to have a clue.
It's honestly that simple. Some people thought the trailer had too much violence for violence' sake (just for shock value), and that's a valid opinion on their part. Like you said, it's probably more an issue with the trailer for them. Ofcourse, when people then use that to make assumptions about 'Lazy Storytelling' in the ...
"Anyone who say that violence shouldn't be associated with mature game is delusional, snowflake, no common sense"
He's not saying that. He's saying that violence and brutality don't make something mature, and he's right in saying that. You can have a silly, immature title that just throws around violence as a cheap shock value tactic.
I don't think TLOU 2 will be like that, ofcourse, but that's not the point.
Why don't you actually counter the argument he made ? He's just saying he thought that such violence was too much shock value and nothing else, almost just for the sake of it, and I can understand what he's saying just taking the trailer in itself.
Pretty basic criticism of violence (just like any other aspect of a game) shown in the trailer.
I happen to disagree with the author here, but I'm cringing at these comments. "Snowflake, ...
@Artemidorus
Dude, people leave all the time. It's already been several years they worked on Anthem.
In fact, it's quite amazing what they've produced in the time they have. Five years and look at what they have from the ground up.
You say that, but we know that they've had a lot of rework and refactoring, essentially a lot of wasted work that they had to push out for playable builds. I can't blame the devs for that though, because there was a massive scope change.
What do you mean ? If you're referring to performance in any way, then you're wrong. Networking aside, the game runs well on client side, and I trust CIG to optimize.
Keep in mind that a good portion (if not the majority) of that money was spent on the single player campaign which they are also developing alongside SC.
That said, you're still right. Everyone always compares it to Mass Effect, No Man's Sky and Elite Dangerous and bashes those games. Those comparisons just don't work. Star Citizen is in a very unique position. Hopefully something amazing will come of it.
What we're seeing right now probably won't be playable till end of next year I think. However I may be wrong because they might release ArcCorp earlier, and the other landing zones later.
That's not the case. SC's alpha builds perform quite well on the client side. It's the networking that bogs people down to 20-30fps. When people played previous builds using an offline mode hack, the framerate was very good overall.
Bible says lots of things about pride, but what does pride have to do with this ?
"No, I don't think it is. CDPR is one of the few good devs left"
Making good games and having a good rap with gamers does not mean they treat their employees particularly well. End of the day it's quite unlikely that these reviews would just pop up for no reason. Besides, most of the accusations aren't hard to believe.
Read article please
"The assertion that single-player linear games are going to disappear is totally absurd," he says. "EA might not be the company that carries that torch, but there are so many groups out there that are passionate about this kind of game that they won't go away. Personally I'd like to see fewer games with higher quality across the board, which is probably what will happen."
don't rely on titles or summari...
wtf xD
Not really true. They can be horrible design. I don't like the Battlefront 2 design after trying it out. I don't want to unlock things by having a chance of getting some components or whatever. Depends on the game. This is regardless of microtransactions and so on.
