He said he was comparing the AAA titles. Hi Fi Rush, while a fun great game, I would classify as AA.

No one is saying that they have to beat CoDs numbers.... making a game that is even in the ballpark is very difficult to do. If it was easy each company would have one by now.

CoD has such a foothold, that even if it was a fantastic shooter/multiplayer game (example: titanfall 2) it isn't enough to pull people away from what they are already invested in (CoD).

@Enigma "MS should have focused on their 20 plus devs they own and they wouldn't have to go through this"

100% agree with that. Is 20 first party studios not enough?? They could be cranking out 3 - 4 AAA games a year sprinkled with some AA at this point. Its been a few years now, we should be seeing a TON of gameplay from upcoming first party games. Now FTC wants to know the plans for Bethesda? This whole acquisition is a joke at this point and MS shooting the...

I believe they said they would honor current agreements (deathloop, Tokyo ghostwire, etc.) Never that they would forever make all future games playable on PS. They spent 7 billion for a reason. Plus wasn't Sony trying to make starfield exclusive for a year? I don't personally see a lot of people rushing out to buy an Xbox just to play starfield though.

Honestly, and this is just my guess, I think they stopped doing the 2 week game format when the activision/blizzard deal started getting a lot of pushback. I believe the slower gamepass drops and reveals have been a result of MS trying to look like they have not much to offer so they look more in need of the buyout. Which is stupid cause gamepass was on a good roll with new subscribers but all that momentum is now slowing down from them wanting this (unnecessary imo) deal to go through.

The only exclusives Xbox gets are Phil's interviews

He must just have different tastes then you. It'd be pretty boring if we all liked the same things

I agree with play it on gamepass, but it's funny cause we always hear "xbox gamers don't buy games or support the industry" etc. This guy is actually buying the game/supporting the dev and is now getting down voted for it.

I dont think their last gen (the Wii U) did that well. Unless you are counting the switch for xbox one/ps4 and xsx/ps5 gen

I love dragon age, but the game was announced with a teaser in 2018. Five years later in 2023, we are still just getting teasers.

Honestly I feel like evolve 2 would be great now. With the success of games like dead by daylight, evil dead, etc. the isometric 4v1 has gained popularity. If done right, could he a lot of fun. I had fun with evolve but the lack of content and tons of in-game purchases threw me away after like a month. Still a cool concept they should continue on.

I just find it funny that he says he didn't play the campaign at all cause he never plays campaigns on RTS's and the multiplayer wasn't up yet so he didn't play that either. How can he confidently give it 8/10 without playing the majority of the game?

I think at this point it is pretty clear (at leat I thought so) that they are implying consoles. Both systems have been putting games on PC which is great. I haven't heard anyone use this as an argument/complaint for a couple years now.

All of MS games come to PC, they've openly said that this will be the case like 4 years ago.

@Lightning77
This 100%. They have now like 15 -20 first party studios after all these acquisitions....Where the F are the games?. Zero excuses anymore, they are just a very mismanaged company in terms of there Xbox division and it is starting to show greatly.

I actually prefer 20ish hour games for the most part. I don't have time to dump 100 hours into each game I play or I'll never finish them. Short and sweet over long and boring. I lose interest after a while too

I like how you quoted only the part of the title that doesn't relate to what he's talking about to make your point. The title mentions gamepass (as MH is coming to gamepass as a 3rd party game) and he simple expressed his gratitude for other 3rd party games coming to the service.

Yeah it is overpriced for sure. But these planes are developed by 3rd party companies or individual people and get to choose their own pricing unfortunately. Can't imagine they make a lot off of them as it is a hard sell for the average person. They'd probably make more in the end if they sold them for 10 dollars cause even an average player might bite.
