"We've been planning...." No, this spiraled out of control and you need a week to put together a PR message.

Oh man Obscure... If the rumors had a SHRED of falseness to them, he'd deny it via X (formerly Twitter) and he'd say more to come next week, but the rumors are "false". This is true, and the PR message will be VERY vague like "Xbox loves all gamers, we want to include as many people as possible in our games, we are thrilled to announce X, Y and Z will be going to playstation and nintendo and all future games will be case by case!" (Hence all future games will be th...

He probably means at least they're offering something. A lot of companies don't offer anything when their game launches like shit. Look at MS and redfall. Some people spent $100 on the deluxe edition and 1 year later they still don't have any of the extras. So yes, good on them for throwing something down.

Yep, greatness over and over. If only everyone else could rinse and repeat making awesome games

They don't have to "beat" those games. If they make an awesome fighter people will buy and play it. It might not have the legs that some of the others have but it could certainly still make them a profit

Taking a page out of MS's book. Spoiler alert: it doesn't usually mean good things.

I believe MS stated several years ago that basically they are going to launch all of their games on PC and Xbox. So you are safe to assume if it is announced for xbox, it is also coming to PC.

I'd be surprised too. They really fumbled it up the past few years. They went almost 2 years without any first party games and the first one they gave xbox supporters to thank them for their patience was Redfall. That alone lost a lot of trust (including mine). I've had every xbox since the OG and I can't see myself buying another.

I mean, 34k players for a 6 year old game is pretty good. Way better than any of MS live service games (Halo, Sea of Thieves, etc.) Those games are at like 5k concurrent.

@aussiesummer - he is referring to the fact the game raised 500 million in crowd funding (the highest ever for a game). So basically with that kind of budget essentially donated to them, the least they could do for the fans is let try it out for free.

The difference is this might still have a good multiplayer portion to it. Redfall failed on every level

Yeah I doubt it. RE8 only sold around 8 million, which is still good, but I would not expect the 9th to suddenly to skyrocket to 45 million. Plus it is extremely unlikely one will even come out before then.

Game really is amazing. Probably the most fun I've had with a game all year. Can't wait to see what they do with wolverine

Metas in the mid 80s are considered low now? If it scored a 10 you'd say no way this game is a 10. Anything lower than a 10 and MS is failing. You sound desperate, and you are either SullysCigar or darkrider (or both), spamming every MS review article.

In that case, phil needs to be let go. That is complete detachment from what the market actually wants.

@analst - I admit I had to look up your vocabulary, and phycology is the study of algae, so I was even more confused. Good job though on trying to sound smart.

@anast it doesn't need 30k lol. As long as everyone can consistently find a match and the game is fun, it will be playable for a long time. I think you are the only person stressed with this.

Yeah that's why I think they did it in the order they did. First they buy a few studios ( Ninja theory, compulsion games, double fine, playground games) okay no big deal. Then they get something a little bigger (zenimax/bethesda/ID software etc). That caused a stir but again, okay I guess. Then finally the hammer (activision). That caused a huge commotion and a lot of attention. Had they done this in the reverse order, I doubt Bethesda would've passed. They will likely lay low with ac...

Xbox is for those who want to play Xbox games but do not want to have to deal with upgrading a gaming pc every few years. If there wasn't a market, it wouldn't sell millions. It's no where near PS5 sales, but it certainly has a market.

lol what?. Waste money they likely don't have on something no one will play? If something is this broken, you should just move on.
