The differnce with Redfall is while Sea of Thieves, Grounded, and even Halo were bare bones, at least they fundamentally worked. Redfall is completely broken and should never have been released in such an unplayable state.
Still, MS should NOT have the metaltilty to release now fix later, cause there is no fixing Redfall. It is dead. And this edition of Bite Back will Bite them in the Ass.
@olMyerslo - I agree, they really should have someone address the issues with redfall and offer refunds. I cant imagine pre-ordering the $100 deluxe edition for this. I'd be pretty upset with the broken state it is in.
Is this Phil?
They do not deserve any more passes. They have 23 studios, many since 2018, and we haven't seen a AAA game in almost 2 years. This is what they thank Xbox fans for their patience with.
Game is awful. I tried it for a couple hours. Everything that they are saying is true, it really is that bad.
This is such a bad look for MS. I hope they aren't allowed to acquire any more studios especially publishers cause this is just embarrassing. They were so wrapped up with the failed ABK deal they let there only AAA release in almost 2 years fail miserably. Did anyone outside the devs even play the game? If so I feel it would've been pretty clear the game was sh*t. MS management needs to be held accountable
Actually I think the majority of Xbox fans are greatly disappointed in the outlook of this game. A handful of people saying they are still excited does not represent the majority. I know xbox people are pissed about the 30fps, always online, only host gets progression, etc. People have been speaking up. I think more and more are getting very fed up with MS's lies.
Pinky: "Gee MS, what are we gonna do now?"
MS: "The same thing we do every night pinky, try to take over the world."
What did IGN do?
Has xbox launched anything else in 2023?
Red *HAD* every chance...
Fixed that for you
Microsoft should focus on producing games with the 20+ studios they already have. I'm confused as to why we haven't seen gameplay or even announcements from the majority of these studios. Why should they buy more? So they can just sit there being mismanaged for a decade?
@enigma I know there aren't. I just used it as an example because he was saying unless it sells well on PC, this game won't make any money. He might be right, but i was just saying that they care more about getting people to subscribe to gamepass than sales.
The funding for this game and all future MS games is from there gamepass subscribers. If they have 25 million subscribers at roughly $10 a sub, they get $250 million every single month. In one month they funded like 2 AAA games. There goal isn't for people to buy it, there goal is for people to subscribe for $15 a month. They want to have like 50 million subscribers so the games just fund themselves.
@iamtylerdurden1 when did Todd Howard cry that he wanted his game on all platforms?
@Lightning77 This post has minecraft legends listed, so this is an overview of the entire month. And as I said, they have not done the every 2 week format (first half of the month/second half of the month) all of 2023. I'm sure they will have a few more than this but they have been just kind of trickling games out whenever, and not really even announcing them.
I'm not ignoring the games that have come, I play gamepass all the time, but again, it has definitely slowe...
@lightning77 it does actually seem like that. Up until this Activision Blizzard thing started getting a lot of backlash, they were adding like 6 - 8 games every 2 weeks and advertising them like crazy. Now the games seem to trickle in every few weeks, like we get 1, then a week later another, and so fourth. It has changed there is no denying that.
@Zacly - What makes you think Fable and Perfect Dark are a mess? I have seen nothing on either of those two games other than the announcement that they are in development. I'm only asking cause I like playground games and didn't know if I was missing gameplay somewhere
Nobody asked for this article, yet here we are.
@Traecy - I guess it all comes down to personal preference and how much time someone has. I personally do not have a ton of time to play anymore, so why would I waste that that time on a 6 when I can play an 8 or 9 even.
Obviously who likes what is just personal taste, but it seems the overarching consensus for this game is that it truly is an insult to xbox fans that this is what MS thinks this is what is acceptable to release to its customers.
