i was thinking the same thing.. at some point MS will create physical peripherals for gamers to use so that way the interaction is improved.
they don't have to be on rails, they just need to be locked to the center of the screen. and let you move.. once they realize that, then both the 360 and the PS3 will begin to crank out more manageable FPS.
how can i take kinect serious with demos that show people looking confused. Kinect really looked like the Wii for 360...graphically speaking. i guess it remains to be seen how this will work out for the 360, but Im not really impressed.
With all the kiddie games it has lined up and demoing, i really cant see it drawing me in and getting me to buy a 360.
as U-verse is not that wide spread, and their is no date for it to be available to the mass public the poster should have also mentioned that
U-VERSE IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN VERY, VERY LIMITED AREAS OF THE U.S. with no projected date of mass distribution. so even if this were true its not something that will be available to all xbox customers anytime soon.
but they do have a few games..
my question is where were all "The End is Nigh" articles when ME2 was announced as a coming to PS3. I swear i heard that it would stay an exclusive to MS.
MS is not creating new ips, their busy making sequels and prequels, while thats great you gotta spice it up in-between sequels with something new.
i mean serious HALO, GEARS, FORZA, MASS EFFECT, REPEAT FIRST 2 now add MASS EFFECT 2. wow another HA...
i will say that if the kinect lineup fails(not talking hardware) to impress, you may see a new console sooner than you think from MS(only because they are pushing it like its the be all end all of gaming).
And on a personal note im not impressed with kinect, as full body gaming is not something i can physically do while walking using my cane to hold me up..
both MS and Sony have preached that this console gen will be longer that the traditional length but MS drastic decline ...
i read this article and played Enslaved demo, paying close attention to the to voice acting and motion capture for the voices.. ENSLAVED SUCKED..it was off..
they wanted to so much to create a heavy sci-fi game similar in style and gameplay to Uncharted 1 and 2 and failed miserably on so many fronts.
nothing fresh about Kinect. its EyeToy,and the PS3 cam.. whats so special its not really innovative.. ok maybe the fact that it has the MS logo on it makes it new.. but really, i cant see any real hardcore games coming to this motion capture camera(thats all its anyway). Plus if you research Virtual Reality tech most of the concepts and tech came form their anyway. so this spin on it being new is really really really old hat.
dont get me wrong it may pan out for the millions...
right before move was relesased. Now im playing it again.. the move controller is a real changer in how you interact. And it doesn't feel tacked on either. it does make the fast action scenes eaiser. in terms of response time.
makes me curious as to whats next for the move ..
with you that there are entirely to many digital video formats, but even If we see a standardized digital format there is the lack of bandwidth issue.
While that is not an issue i face personally(and yes i do download alot of movies and tv shows) 95% of the population does.
so even if Digital format became the mainstream(never will.. personally speaking)most people are going to want to hold a hard copy of a game, movie, or music in there hand.

but Move here is Georgia is sold out or hard to find.. i went middle of the day to Best Buy and was lucky enough to get the last bundle on the shelf... all the accessories were GONE.. had to go to FRYS Elec. to get the navi controller. as long as there are download caps and major bandwidth restrictions by internet providers, not to mention the amount of gamers that would rather have a solid piece of media in their hands.

the 360 has grown as far as it can go. Devs are already lining up complaining about capacity and restrictions. So the only thing the 360 has left to do is add more peripherals and bigger hard-drives.. or smaller hard-drives as the case is with the 4gb casual model displays.

we have 3 in my house and while 1 is strictly for the blu-ray the other 2 are setup for hardcore gamers, and yes one of those consoles is a launch system(so i did fork out the money)
and 400 for this package is not bad at all really considering your getting the move wand and a DS3, plus the camera and the game.
Look at the game as a training guide to get...
heres hoping for more backwards compatibility for earlier games.. and yeah i know a patch isn't better than being designed from the ground up.. but it would encourage people to buy older games that they missed. even if it was just to test out Move..

a redesign is both good and bad. There is the fact that a complete redesign of the current console would have to put in to factor the proprietary hard drive that MS has created for their console. this would actually limit or even halt any idea of a slim 360 since the drive placement would be a key factor in the design. If MS were to dissolve the requirement for the proprietary drive, this would open up many option for a redesign. It could also have a negative impact on future sales based on ...
