BR is simply a game mode that's is relatively new to gaming after playing TDM, CTF and SnD for decades now, people want something refreshing and BR has filled that gap.
It's a free game that doesn't force you to buy anything. No pay to win rubbish, just simply skins and emotes. Are some of the top tier skins overpriced? Most definitely but that ain't taking advantage of the consumer. It's like anything else in the world. If you have the money and you want it you can buy it. It's simply a option.
People are doing anything to try and shit on Fortnite for a few clicks these days but these articles always come across as de...
Yep. That first hour in the hospital was a true MGS game which everyone seems to disagree with me on and as soon as you're off the helicopter and put in the desert it became a boring, mundane experience which felt more like a UBI game than a Kojima game.
I had it on Steam for years, finally started playing it and realised it was typical ES with Terrible voice acting, animations and pretty bad combat. The world is beautiful but it's not as amazing as people make out.
Life is Strange, Hellblade, Telltale games before they became a bit crap, rocket league are middle tier games that have given me some of the best experiences this generation.
BR is simply a multiplayer game mode just like TDM, just like DOM, just like SnD which we have been playing for decades now. People started hating on wave/round based modes and yet they are still here... BR is here to stay.
I used to love them but I see them as lazy these days. Hardly any developer are pushing what could be done in an open world game. I also miss a sense of progression in locations with open world games which linar games offer. Open world games have become a box ticking contest. So mundane.
Yes! This so much.
Fallout and TES are some of the most overrated games ever produced.
The Witcher 3 was average at best.
MGSV was the biggest disappointment of this generation.
Red Dead Redemption was one of the most boring open world games to travel through.
50v50 player mode has been in and out of the game for a while now as a Limited Time Mode.
Its a FREE game. Everyone has been given it for absolutely nothing. Skins being £15 is steep for some but when its cosmetic only, why does it matter what people want to spend their money on if it holds no advantage to gameplay? That don't make them gullible. There are other F2P games out there which are pay to win, hell there are even AAA games with pay to win mechanics (Destiny, COD, GTAO, BF2, FIFA etc) which make Fortnites skins look cheap in comparison. The £9 battle pass is...
Absolute nonsense. This is a studio that do two updates a week to their game though additional content, weekly challenges and LTM. The rocket launch yesterday was incredible too see and nothing like that has ever been done in a BR game. That ONE map is constantly evolving throughout each season. The game is now more balanced that ever and battleroyale is still growing in popularity.
I like the basics of this game but it lacks the addictiveness of Fortnite. The UI, Graphics, frame rate, parachute physics, lack of AA are my main gripes.
TDM is still one of the most played game modes today almost 3 decades later and that's hasn't innovated for a long time. That's goes for online game modes in general. There hasnt been a new a game mode which has everyone excited like BR has done for years now. Popularity will decrease eventually but BR is here to stay.
No one is is going out and buying an Xbox just because they cannot play Fortnite for Christ's sake.
@Jman. That's isn't the case on console. Them disks are filled with data the game uses. There will always be day one patches to fix any last minute bugs that might arise and some of them patches can be just as big as the game data on the disk but no company is pressing and using money on blu ray for it to simply be a licence key to unlock the game.
Not everyone has high speed internet, unlimited data or even internet at all. Digital pricing is not competitive in the slightest (here in the UK a game can be £15-£20 more for the digital than the physical). Also it takes out getting games cheaper elsewhere as youd only be able to buy from PSN or XBL stores and they could charge as much as they liked and you would have to pay it or miss out. We also have the issue of games being taken off sale and not being able to redownload them....
A proper arena shooter without all this hero rubbish. Just straight run and gun fraging. Miss them days. I don't think there's much of a Market for them these days though unfortunately.
Well Payday 2 is rough around the edges too. It is the same team IIRC but it seems like this is going to have just as many issues performance wise.
Fortnite plays levels above PUBG on consoles. It's buttery smooth something PUBG cannot claim on console. The map consistently evolves for the better instead of making a new map which everyone hates, PUBGs desert map says hello. Fortnite has your usual modes such as solo, duo and squads but also has 50v50, explosives only, shotguns only, snipers only, play ground mode, squads of 20 etc. Erm what does dance have to do with millennials? People didn't dance before 2000 did they? I'm ...
