So was the first gane. Layers of Fear gets undeservingly shit on all the time.
Apart from having to get up and and put a disk into your console, the pros of physical majorly outweigh the pros of digital. Look at the response of Google Stadia in terms of your collection of the service gets shit down. Look at PT and TMNT and the older games getting pulled from stores because of music tracks etc. Digital is not that great.
People say MW2 was the best because it required the least skill to play and held your hand the most making you feel good. I'm glad this new game is sticking more to the original with its pacing more than the second MW2.
BO1 was the greatest COD for personally.
This generation has been absolute crap for arcade racers. I'm hoping we see a revival like we saw with horror games this gen, on the next generation.
Split Second is one of the greatest arcade racers of last generation. You're one of the very few people who I've ever seen mention it.
I miss Motorstorm too. I miss cinematic racers in general. Split Second, Motorstorm Apocalypse, even NFS the Run. Racing with earthquakes, avalanches, tsunamis, police, bombs etc was thrilling. No everything is a boring sim/semi sim. We ain't allowed fun with racers anymore
You can buy the classic for next to nothing and mod it anyway to have all the classics with visual upgrades along with psp games.
3 was the beginning of its down fall. They completely lost the plot after that. Tuned into something that was not saints row at all.
Segata there ain't many compared to last generation tbf but thank you for some suggestions. I've played on rush which was amazing, horizon and fast racing weren't for me but that rise game looks amazing. How that ever slipped by me ill never know!
I'm talking about nothing more than sound here, It's a step up for COD that's for sure buts the sound still ain't up to the BFs sound design.
Say what you will about NFS but it's pretty much the only game keeping arcade racers alive. This generation has been absolutly terrible for them. No Motorstorm, no Ridge Racers, no Burnouts, No Split Seconds. It's been abysmal and whilst NFS is pretty average compared to what it was, it's the only racing game that's ticks a lot of arcade racing fans boxes which is terrible to say lol
MGS2 is amazing. I love all 4 mainline MGS games (V is not MGS). I understand why people were disappointed at the time when all the marketing was done based on snake being on the Tanker. Decades on, the atension to detail for a PS2 game is outstanding. It also has one of the best plots IMO.
What? The second game was leaps and bounds better than the first. Okay it was a lot shorter but the gameplay and gun play were incredible and a significantly big jump from the first. I loved the first but it feels dated already when you go back to it.
They were posted not to long ago and if I remember correctly they were easily over 50% of their quarterly revenue. Silly numbers
Tbf let's not forget destiny. Pretty much everyone loved the gameplay but there wasn't simply enough to do. 3 years later the game was content rich and a great game and the same is slowly happening to destiny 2. Never say never but this is EA. I wouldn't be surprised if they do abandon it at some point.
So because a video game wants to depict the ugly side of war its trying to be edgy? If we want to push narratives in gaming forward we need ballsy moves like this. Unfortunately a lot people are offended by everything these days so there's no doubt there will be some controversy around the story.
Let's not forget how mundane MGSVs open world was too. I'm sick to death of open world games at this point.
They would have never known of BO4 was going to be futuristic or not. They would have been working on the game for years by the time they would have known what direction BO4 was going in. At the time everyone was asking for a WW2 revival and people got it. Unfortunately the two Kings of WW2 games at one point both failed with BF5 and COD WW2.
Apprently AC exists because PoP sales started to sink. I personally loved them all from Sands of Time.
I dread to think what Ubisoft would do to Splinter Cell in 2019. We don't need yet another open world Ubisoft game but you can almost bet that's what it would be.
How is there disagrees with this comment? RDR2 is one of the biggest disappointments of this generation. The first game is leagues better.
