@dasteru - I can get you a better looking photograph than any of those games.
The Witcher and Watch Dogs are open world. They have to deal with a lot more than David Cage's carefully chosen camera angles.
And the Sony game with the best graphics? Planetside 2. Maybe consoles will get it next year.
Next gen, for both Microsoft and Sony, is just a PC. Not even a top spec one.
Cliff fucking Racers.
I rate this sale 8+/10!
This is why it's a beta version.
I think the fans of the game are happy enough about the game that they've become fans.
"The die hard pro DmC have their field day mostly positive review scores"
"we are having ours with what truly matter in this case : sales"
I don't think any version will be sticking around. This is what you are celebrating, bro.
Preferring sales over quality, the N4G way.
Can't wait for the next VGChartz story - it's all about who's in third place!
That's not going to stop them selling games. If a developer makes a game Win8 only, Valve aren't going to reject it.
Microsoft will continue to charge for Xbox Live. It's their best cash cow in the E+D division, it's been a massive success this generation.
I think Sony will keep basic multiplayer free, and charge for additional services. But I don't think Microsoft will change their tune.
Fez and Dyad would be insta-buys for me.
Halo 3 will end up being Windows 8 only, so I'll ignore it totally until Microsoft row back on all their Metro touchscreen bullshit in Windows 9.
Fewer exclusives. If both consoles really are using x86 architecture, you're going to see a lot more on PC.
See how easy it was to port 360 games to PC, it'll be even easier for both consoles next time round. The only exclusives you'll get are from first party studios - the old "we're too small a studio for multiplatform development" line will never be heard again.
The most important part the article is this quote -
“I don’t think the console manufacturers are going to have the same advantage, before they were willing to lose millions of dollars on the hardware and making it up on the backend and Sony can’t afford to do that and I don’t think Microsoft is going to support it that much either.”
For the 360 and the PS3, Microsoft and Sony put a hell of a lot of investment into the hardware. It cost Sony in particular, a ...
On PC, it's Windows 8 only. Abject fail.
It's funny to you.
Luxury electronics - billions of dollars, sell in China. Maybe you were thinking of "hundreds of millions" instead of "billions".
You think that China can afford iPhones but not Xboxes (because they're quote, so "dirt poor"?) You think wrong, it's not like the cultural revolution any more.
It's funny to you, because you do not understand.
"Apple announced on Thursday that its quarterly revenue in China reached $6.83 billion, from $4.08 billion a year earlier. It marked the first time that Apple formally broke out China data in its earnings release."
http://www.chinadaily.com.c...
And the last quarter was an earnings MISS from Apple.
"Billions".
Lol thanatos, for me Tomb Raider was all about killing endangered species.
I think Far Cry 3 has picked up that baton.
Don't pretend that Uncharted didn't take anything from the Tomb Raider series.
Sure, it's main inspiration was Indiana Jones, but the main inspiration for Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine was Indiana Jones, and that borrowed from Tomb Raider.
That's quite nice, but what we all want to know is, "what font will Sony be using this time?"
Hopefully, if both consoles are using PC-style parts, we can cut out all the press release CPU technical powerhouse revolution bullshit.
Remember when the PS3 came out, and the forums were filled with "POWER OF THE CELL!", "Supercomputer on a chip!".
Now when next gen comes out, they'll all be like, "Mid-Range PC Specs!", "AMD! A good power-price compromise".
This is good news - games are already stupid expensive to make.
That the PS4/XboxNext/PC all use the same architecture should offset the cost of multi-platform development. The money saved there could then be invested into higher quality environments.
