All this will mean is that you cannot crack open a 360 HDD and replace the bare drive with a higher capacity one. I suspect 3rd party stuff like Datel which is generally licensed, will still work. You will probably find that the bare drives used in the 3rd party drives are the same as the official ones, so they will just make an update that checks the amount of memory and hdd BIOS and stuff.

Also hate to sound like a Windows fanboy, but after 2 months of using Linux, you begin to appreciate that Windows isn't so bad after all. At least when I install something on Windows it works rather than telling me I have missing dependencies.
As for hardware support, that is simply a joke. I plugged my headphones into my laptop and it still played the sound through the speaker...
Don't see how it is slower than Vista, Vista is the slowest OS I have ever used. For me Windows 7 is as fast as, if not faster than XP, but not as fast as Suse Linux at booting.
To be fair, so does the PS3. I've played GT and experienced massive slowdown with 4 or 5 cars on the track at once.
There is a good reason why the road dissapeared, and that because people want better graphics.
When your system doesnt have unlimited power, you have to make certain decisions, such as the draw depth. Actually this isn't as simple as that, it's a load balancing technique that the N64 used to use. It draws things that are off in the background with less polygons (look on Mario 64, Mario becomes blockier the further away he gets from the camera).

Seems like they cut a lot of the old crap cars no-one ever used, and gave us some new crap instead (SUVs and green cars).
Overall it's a good list, but still with glaring omissions. No Escort Cosworth, no Ford Capri, no Mk1 MR2.
I know we are never satisfied, but I think if they wanted to add SUVs and green cars, that they needed to be pushing around 500 cars, as Forza 2 was already around 350

It's more likely something that was designed to affect those with homebrew. Nintendo did issue a warning of sorts saying it (unauthorized save files) could damage the console. Obviously the save files don't, but low and behold, Nintendo released a firmware update and now all of a sudden these save files do cause damage.
No problems here. I'm assuming it's modded consoles or consoles with hacked game saves.
OEM is the only way to buy. I always buy OEM stuff, for example HDDs. You don't need any instructions for them and the packaging is just a waste anyway. I wish more stuff would come in plain brown boxes with minimal packing or leaflets.

If you buy this, you are a mug. It will make no difference to gaming, unless your internet connection is faster than 20mbps (Wireless G 54mbps is 27mbps up and 27mbps down, but it usually encounters some amount of loss too). Even then, it won't cure lag as lag is related to latency, not throughput, and if you want less lag, use the wire.
I'd like to see how they justify selling this over the wireless G version.
Interesting that a few people disagreed. Not that people aren't entitled to an opinion, but I'd be interested in hearing why you disagree. I have been playing Forza 2 since it came out, so I know the game pretty well. GT5 on the other hand, I've only had for a couple of weeks.
I prefer Forza's upgrading bit. You get to choose which parts of the engine to upgrade, rather than move a slider along to get more horsepower. You also get the audible difference.
Seeing as now turbo pads are legal, let's start using lag switches. Seriously, turbos are sh1tty and ruin it for everyone. More fool anyone using it. Do you suck so bad you need a cheat to beat someone online?
