I'm at about 17 hours and haven't yet finished Act III. So far it's pretty great.
As far as I am concerned: Nothing needs to be added. It just needs a visual makeover and a more unified look (some Items have a full screen background, some have a small box in the corner, some look good, some really terrible).
I think he is free to choose a 720, but even if SOCOM might have been terrible, if I look at the games that arrived recently and the ones that are about to be released there is no doubt for me(!) that PlayStation delivers more and better games tailored to my tastes. Obviously tastes will vary, but for me it seems - and I admit I am not very much behind X-Box news - that all the X-Box is getting are Kinect titles, besides the multis of course and a new Halo, which is probably great (liked the ...
More power doesn't just mean better graphics. It also means better AI, more AI controlled characters, better physics. It also does not mean that the creative ideas he is talking about are suddenly not possible anymore. So why not innovate and push visuals, physics and AI.
I am not neccessarily a big fan of MMOs but the current consoles can't really handle them. i think DC Universe is as close as we will get on current generation consoles and that really just doesn'...
You probably played the BETA, as a lot of PS-plus-members did months before the game was released.
I really enjoyed the Spec Ops Demo. Gameplay is fluid and graphics are nice. Nolan North as a voice is a plus. If the reviews attest a decent story and length I will most certainly buy it.

The login problems are annoying and I too think that a lot of the good old stuff has been abandoned, but still it is a really great game.
But is this Dead Space really comparable with a real Dead Space?
A Lamborghini is also a car but wouldn't neccessarily have to compete with a smart. Different qualities demand different prices.
Golden Abyss is in technical aspects and scope absolutely comparable to a full console game. 2ß bucks just because the screen is smaller and it's portable, doesn't really make sense... the creation was just as expensive.
Needs more dogs...
And there you go:

You mean the old PSP-title supports dual-analog-sticks on VITA? Like really or just as a mediocre mapping of face buttons to stick?
I totally feel the same way, but they will probably have the ugly platinum versions of the regular games in that box, like they did with God of War, and unlike the US-greatest-Hits-Covers they are really atrocious.

I am, however, looking forward to Resistance Burning skies soon...
"everyone comes away claiming how microsoft wins e3" - seriously? Usually Microsoft doesn't have the greatest E3. In my book SONY mostly wins this. The presentation and content is usually better and they don't need to bring out celebrities and the cirque de soleil just to make up for low content. I am also pretty sure, SONY will show more new stuff and I completely expect Microsoft to show more great Kinect-games - Yay!
Well for once the whole part about Kratos wanting to get Pandoras Box to kill Zeus was stupid because after he had killed a ton of gods he should have realized that he already posessed the 'power to kill a god'. So every half-wit should know that the box isn't needed, yet Kratos and Athena think it is super importent. Then the box is empty. Well, what a surprise, after you opened it in part I and took the power you should have expected it to be empty to begin with. Especially that...
Then you owe it to yourself to play I, II and Ghost of Sparta. As far as story is concerned they are all better than III (although you wouldn't know that IIIs story is weired if you hadn't played I & II. Of course the graphics aren't on par with III but still very good considering the originals were done for PS2 and PSP.
I also don't quite understand why they linked the magic to the primary weapon and only gave us the cestus and 3 different chaos-blades. ...
'It appears to hint'? You mean when they say 'before he became a god' and 'in the ten years serving Ares'? Yeah that's pretty vague. The only thing we can get from that is that it plays before Chains of Olympus.
Their is also no space for deimos in this time frame as he was taken away when he was a child and only ever met again in Ghost of Sparta, after Part I. So unless they do a backflash within the prequel, which could happen, of course, we won...
Well unfortunately that is true for the third part. That story was really pretty dumb and thin, but the first two parts and Ghost of Sparta did have a nice story. Overall the story arch in God of War is really good. Only Chains of Olympus was a little weak and God of War III really concentrated on graphics and violence and kind of didn't care about the story. I am glad that this game has a new director, but i fear the GoW III director, Asmussen, will be responsible for GoW IV on PS4. I am...
I think the fighting in Tekken 6 was totally ok and fun. Just everything around it was pretty bad, including ridiculous (boss) fights and a lame story mode. As far as I am concerned Mortal Kombat had a really great overall package: nice story mode, tons of content and great graphics, but the fighting for me just didn't work. Even the NPC spammed the same 3 moves over and over again. I thought it was really boring and so I'll take (even a bad) Tekken over any other contender any day.
What really baffles me is how hard SONY is trying to drop the ball with this one. So much potential but most of it is going to waste.
Still Uncharted was really amazing and most of the smaller games are really good, just not good enough to keep me in front of the console. Still there are a lot of great games coming even if there are longer strwaks of nothing inbetween.
I wouldn't be surprised if the GoW/HS2-Announcement on the 18th would be for VITA. It ...
Killzone 2 looked really great and I was more than happy with it (still consider it my most favorite shooter), but better? Seriously? That trailer had absolute amazing particle effects, a higher polycount and draw-distance and an even more advanced lighting system complete with flawless shadows. If Killzone 2 had looked like that trailer, or Motorstorm for that matter, we would not be in need of a PS4 graphics wise.
