I think it is just fair to every other business in the country and in the EU to have the same rules applied. Why should game developers be treated different than say people producing cars. Now ideally noone would have to pay taxes but especially with the economy right now the everyone needs to pay their fair share. Of course game developers feel it is a mistake but every other business sector will not share this view.
For once Germany has a great deal on VITAs. On February 21st there will be a launch event in Berlin where you can buy the VITA and get a 4GB-card, Headphones, and 3 Games (Uncharted, Little Deviants, Wipeout) for free. I wanted to wait but i can't pass up on that deal. Funny that the 4GB-card will not even hold all 3 Games. It can hold either UNcharted or the other two. I also prefer game cases but you can't complain about 3 free games.
I think he means that the free part is pretty great already and the PLUS-part just makes it that much better.

That seems like a convenient way to patch things. The PS3 has a feature for PLUS-members that pretty much improved the whole process of patching. Every day at a set time the PS3 will turn on and check for updates and will then automatically download and install them. Next time I turn on my PS3 I get the info what was downloaded and installed. It also syncs the trophies (which should really work in the background anytime) and backs up selected saves to the cloud.

The translation of the time-thingy is terrible. There is now an option to let the PS3 auto-sync the time with the internet upon connection to the PSN.
I think that God of War III was the weekest of all God of War Games. Yes, even the PSP-versions. OK, maybe it is a little better than Chains of Olympus, but they totally lost track of a good story arc and character in God of War III. Sure, the graphics were amazing, and they kicked brutality through the roof, but storywise? And also who thought that after 4 Games it was a great idea to lock the magic to the weapon and also why do we have 3 times the same weapon just with a different paint job...
I will probably buy the 3G-version even though I will only ever use it in WiFi-Mode but I am not willing to miss out on GPS which is only in the 3G-version. I have no idea if it will ever be usefull, but I'd hate to find out 6 months in that GPS would have been nice. I am aware that there is an alternative wifi-positioning-system included but somehow i don't trust the accuracy of this system.
Simple reason. The same probably as to why we can't swap the battery on VITA, because some idiots would work on exploiting the system for pirated copies of games. The VITA cards probably have some protection on board. And even if someone finds a way to pirate stuff they would still have to buy rather expensive cards, so there is a little less gain for pirates and hopefully a little reduced enthusiasm - but whom am i kidding. I just hope they can keep the protection as strong as on the PS3...
Pong is also comparable to MLB2012 on PS3. It's not a fair comparison but totally doable.

The day Uncharted goes Open World will be the day Uncharted dies - for me at least. Open World always totally waters down stories and i can't see them pull off the same cinemativ feeling in an open world environment. They could surprise me but i doubt it.

I also liked Asylum a lot more. The story and gameplay was tight. In City you always need to traverse the city for ages on end to get to the next part of the story and the city is just as dull as the gliding and grappling through it.

The story of Metal Gear is so overrated. Just because it is complex and has a bazillion twists doesn't make the story good, let alone the storytelling, which reminded me of boring powerpoint presentations from time to time.
The Uncharted overall story-arc is pretty good. I will admit that the second part had smaller logical problems and the third even more so, but overall this franchise is very solid. It has some of the best characters that easily carry the audience over...
It's kind of funny that a lot of the big hitters are not in that list: Little Big Planet, Modnation Racers, Gran Turismo. They probably don't want to encourage people to buy the PSP versions when the VITA versions are around the corner. I don't care much for older games anyway with the exception of both God of War Titles that are luckily among the available titles.
